Best E-Bike Christmas Gifts in Canada (2026): 30 Picks Matched to the Person

Quick Answer: Which E-Bike Should You Give for Christmas?

Buy for the person, then check three things: where they will ride, how tall they are, and the date. For a husband who has everything, my pick is the Smartravel Raptor ST202 Pro ($2,599), a private-land bike. For a wife, girlfriend or daughter, the Eunorau Meta 24 ($2,199). For a dad or grandfather, the Addmotor Citytri E-310 trike. For a teen 16 or older, the Samebike XD26-II ($1,399). Order by Thursday, December 10 for delivery by December 24. Where to buy: all 30 are sold at Zeus eBikes with free shipping across Canada.

How these picks were made

I chose all 30 bikes myself, and the pitches are in my words. We then read every listing on 7 November 2026 for its price, stock and specs, and tested each pitch against those facts. Fit comes from our US sister store, RedTail eBikes, which works it out from the 6,068 measured bodies in the US Army's ANSUR II survey with the saddle set at 109% of inseam; where RedTail has no model for a bike, we print the maker's own range and say so. We searched Health Canada's recall database and the US CPSC on 6 November 2026 for every brand here and found no recall of these bikes.

Prices are Zeus's listed prices on 7 November 2026, and some are sale prices that will change, so the listing always has today's price. Car and motorcycle names on this page are comparisons only: none of those companies is connected to Zeus or to these bikes.

Why is an e-bike such a hard gift to get right?

Deloitte expects 51% of Canadian holiday budgets to be spent by the close of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so the big gift on your list is being decided now (Deloitte, 2026 Holiday Retail Outlook). Get an e-bike wrong and you own a $2,000 surprise that doesn't fit, can't be ridden where they live, or lands on December 27. This guide matches 30 bikes to the person, then settles the size, the date and the return.

Nobody makes this easy. We read 2,788 search suggestions for big gifts on Google and Bing set to Canada, strings like "high end gifts for men" and "gifts for dad who has everything", and one mentioned an e-bike. We read all 9,623 comments in 308 big-budget gift threads on Reddit from the last two Christmas seasons, and two threads had an e-bike in them. In one, a couple said they skip gifts, agree on one big item, and last year it was e-bikes.

That couple has it right. People who can spend $1,000 on a gift think about the person, so this page is built that way. On our phones last December, callers raised Christmas in 20 of 103 transcribed calls, and their first worry was delivery in time, so the dates get their own section too. In the Retail Council of Canada's 2026 survey, 53% said something memorable or meaningful matters most, against 23% who said lowest price (RCC and Leger, 2026).

Which e-bike gift suits which person?

Find the person in this table, then jump to the card. Of the 30, 13 ship at the 500 W and 32 km/h settings provincial rules converge on, 16 are for private land and permitted trails, and one, the DL2000, is unsettled, so treat it as a private-land bike until we can say more. Prices were read on 7 November 2026.

Takeaway Start from the person, then read the last column before you fall in love with a bike. More than half of this list is for private land and permitted trails.

What do you get a husband or boyfriend who has everything?

Match the bike to the car he already loves or the place he goes to be left alone. Every bike in this section is over the road line or unverified for it, so plan on private land and permitted trails, then check his height, because these are big machines with narrow fit windows.

He gave you the Porsche Smartravel Raptor ST202 Pro fat-tire e-bike, side view, Smartravel's own product image

If your husband got you a Porsche or a Range Rover as a gift at any point in your life, you get him this. You would be giving him permission to laugh, and to be young. Every time I rode this bike I forgot my age and felt like a little kid who could go anywhere he wants. Watch my winter riding video: the sound it makes in the snow is just cool.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: 3,000 W peak and 56 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.
  • Motors: Two 1,200 W hubs, 3,000 W combined peak, 150 N·m, all-wheel drive
  • Battery: 52 V 50 Ah, 2,600 Wh across two packs
  • Weight and load: 56.2 kg (123.7 lb) with both batteries; 350 lb (158 kg) payload
  • Fit: A bench that stays at 33 inches: both feet go flat for 37 of 100 riders at 5′8″ and 79 of 100 at 5′10″, per RedTail's review. Smartravel lists 5′6″ to 6′3″.

The trade-off: It does not fold, and loading it alone into a truck is hard: bring a ramp or a second person. Our full Raptor review has the rest.

He drives a German two-door

Eahora DL2000

$3,599
Eahora DL2000 moped-style e-bike, side view, Eahora's own product image

If your husband drives a German two-door car, you get him this one. He will probably ride it in a suit.

  • Where it can go: Not verified for public roads. Eahora Canada rates its two motors at 2 × 250 W and sets the display to 32 km/h, its FAQ says the limit can be raised to 56–61 km/h, and Eahora's global page rates the same model at 2 × 800 W. We treat it as a private-land bike.
  • Battery: 52 V 30 Ah, 1,560 Wh
  • Tires and brakes: 20 × 4.5″ fat tires; hydraulic discs on 240 mm rotors
  • Weight and load: About 164 lb with the battery; up to 330 lb
  • Fit: Eahora lists 5′7″ to 6′4″, inseam 28.7″ or more

The trade-off: At about 164 lb this is a moped-style machine, so it needs a garage and a ramp. It is not a bike you carry upstairs.

He waxes his car by hand

Qiolor Tiger Plus

$2,300–$2,599
Qiolor Tiger Plus retro e-bike with a brown bench seat, side view, Qiolor's own product image

If your husband loves Jaguars, old Cadillacs and the cars from the 1960s that floated down the road and felt like sitting on a couch, this is his. He waxes his car by hand, he likes everything in order, and when he goes out he puts on cologne and irons his shirt. He wants the power and the battery life, and he still wants the thing to be beautiful.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: 750 W and 50 to 55 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.
  • Motor: 750 W, 1,100 W peak, 85 N·m
  • Battery: 48 V, in 15 Ah or 35 Ah
  • Weight and load: 40.8 kg; 400 lb (181 kg)
  • Warranty: 24 months
  • Fit: A fixed 32.3-inch bench: 66 of 100 riders at 5′8″ sit flat-footed and 27 of 100 at 5′6″, per RedTail's model.

The trade-off: If he stands under about 5′8″, measure before you buy: the bench does not move.

He needs the woods Freesky Alaska Pro M-520 fat-tire e-bike, Freesky's own product image

This is a great gift for the husband or boyfriend who wants to go into the woods, not be bothered for a while, and come back when he wants to.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: a 4,500 W peak motor and 64 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.
  • Motor: One rear hub, 4,500 W peak, 170 N·m
  • Battery: 48 V 45 Ah in two removable packs, 2,160 Wh
  • Weight and load: 40.8 kg; 400 lb (181 kg)
  • Fit: Up to about 5′8″: the saddle reaches the fit formula's height for 44 in 100 riders at 5′8″, 10 in 100 at 5′10″ and none from 6′1″, per RedTail's review. Freesky prints 5′6″ to 6′8″.

The trade-off: If he is over 5′8″, measure first. Our Alaska Pro review walks through it.

He never buys himself anything Freesky Ranger Plus M-540 step-through fat-tire e-bike, Freesky's own product image

This is for the hunter husband who has worked so hard this year and never gets himself anything. He will know you see his work and you love him with that gift.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: 5,000 W peak across two motors and 64 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.
  • Motors: Two hubs, all-wheel drive, 5,000 W combined peak
  • Battery: 48 V 30 Ah, 1,440 Wh, removable
  • Weight and load: 95 lb (43 kg); 400 lb (181 kg)
  • Fit: Freesky lists 5′3″ to 6′8″; RedTail's review has the range model

The trade-off: Camouflage is sold out as I write this. Black, Green, Red and Blue are in stock. More in our hunting e-bike guide.

The Harley crowd Eahora Romeo Pro II 2026 moped-style e-bike, side view, Eahora's own product image

This one is for the Harley dudes who don't want people looking at them funny because it's an e-bike, the tough guys who don't think men should cry. It's a big bike, you ride high up, and it has a lot of power. Just like a Harley, it is known for the cruising and not the takeoff. It's for the long ride where you think about nothing and never really want to pedal.

  • Where it can go: We sell it as an off-road, private-property e-bike at every setting. Eahora Canada prints dual 250 W and a 32 km/h setting; its global page lists 2 × 2,000 W.
  • Battery: 52 V 70 Ah, 3,640 Wh
  • Torque: 2 × 120 N·m
  • Weight and load: 160.94 lb with the battery; up to 500 lb
  • Fit: Eahora lists 5′6″ to 6′4″, inseam 28.7″ or more

The trade-off: Long rides on this one need private land or permitted trails, so check the rules where he will ride.

Takeaway Pick from the car he loves or the place he goes to disappear. Then check two things before you pay: can he legally ride it where he lives, and does his height sit inside the fit line on the card.

What do you get a wife, girlfriend or daughter who likes to look around?

Give her the little SUV: a step-through Eunorau Meta with a rack, a 720 Wh battery and room for a second one. Pick the wheel by her height, the 24 for shorter riders, the 26 for the middle and the 275 for taller riders. All three ship at the 500 W and 32 km/h settings.

Small: not too tall, not short Eunorau Meta 24 step-through e-bike, side view, Eunorau's own product image

This is for your daughter, girlfriend or wife who is not too tall but not short either. It's like giving someone a little SUV: they can go anywhere with it, carry things on it, and if they ever need extra range they can add a second battery. The person who enjoys this bike likes to smell the flowers and watch the snow fall. They want to observe the world as they ride.

  • Where it can go: Ships at 500 W and 32 km/h, the settings provincial rules converge on. Check your province and municipality before public-road use. Eunorau lists a faster unlock; whether an adjustable cap qualifies is not settled.
  • Motor: 48 V 500 W rear hub, 55 N·m
  • Battery: 720 Wh, removable; a second pack is optional
  • Weight and load: 61.7 lb (28 kg); 286 lb (130 kg)
  • Fit: About 5′2″ to 5′6″, per RedTail's review. At 5′7″ her inseam decides.

The trade-off: The lightest of the three, and the one that suits shorter riders. Read our Meta 24 review for how it rides.

Medium Eunorau Meta 26 step-through e-bike, side view, Eunorau's own product image

The same little SUV in a medium, for the same person who wants to see the world as she rides.

  • Battery: 720 Wh, dual-battery ready
  • Weight and load: 68.4 lb (31 kg); 286 lb (130 kg)
  • Fit: Eunorau sizes it from 5′4″ to 6′3″; RedTail's review gives it the tallest front end of the 20, 24 and 26.

The trade-off: It weighs 6.7 lb more than the Meta 24.

Larger Eunorau Meta 275 2.0 step-through e-bike, Eunorau's own product image

This is the larger version, and it's the same thing: a bigger wheel for a taller rider who covers more distance.

  • Where it can go: Ships at 500 W and 32 km/h, the settings provincial rules converge on. Check your province and municipality before public-road use. Eunorau lists a faster unlock; whether an adjustable cap qualifies is not settled.
  • Motor: 48 V 500 W rear hub, switchable torque and cadence sensing
  • Battery: 720 Wh, removable
  • Weight and load: 68.4 lb (31 kg); 286 lb (130 kg)
  • Fit: Eunorau lists 5′6″ to 6′1″; RedTail's review puts the frame's low point 19.5 inches off the ground.

The trade-off: Steel Blue and Dark Charcoal are marked back order on our listing, so pick another colour if it has to arrive by Christmas.

Takeaway One bike in three sizes. Under about 5′6″, the Meta 24. In the middle, the Meta 26. Over 5′6″ and covering distance, the Meta 275.

Not sure which size? Call me.

1-866-938-7580 Women's e-bikes by height

What do you get the person who cares how things look?

Two picks, two personalities. The Velotric Tempo is the quiet one, at 17.7 kg the lightest bike here, for the person who strips everything back. The Taubik Recon is the loud one, a moto-style bike from a Canadian-owned brand. Only the Tempo ships at the road settings.

The artist, the minimalist Velotric Tempo city e-bike, Velotric's own product image

This is the gift for the artist and the minimalist: the person with one clean laptop on the desk, the Tesla in the driveway and the good grocery store on the way home.

  • Where it can go: Ships at 500 W and 32 km/h, the settings provincial rules converge on. Check your province and municipality before public-road use. Velotric lists an adjustable 19 to 45 km/h range; whether an adjustable cap qualifies is not settled.
  • Motor: 350 W, 650 W peak, 45 N·m
  • Battery: 374 Wh, removable
  • Weight and load: 17.7 kg (39 lb), the lightest bike on this page; 150 kg
  • Fit: Four sizes from 147 to 193 cm (Velotric): Mid-Step or High-Step, each in Regular or Large
  • Extra: Pulse Mode sets the assist from a heart-rate armband, included

The trade-off: Orange High-Step and Lightning Silver Mid-Step are sold out as I write this. Fenders and a rack are not included.

Architects and designers

Taubik Recon

$3,599
Taubik Recon moto-style fat-tire e-bike, Taubik's own product image

You buy this one for your son, husband or boyfriend if they have been very good this year and you want to get them something very cool. It's for the architects, the interior designers and the real-estate guys and girls. It has class, it has a bit of edge to it, it has tech and a great battery, and Taubik is a Canadian-owned brand. This is the only one like it we carry from a Canadian company, and I'm proud of it. Think of it as Canada's answer to the big moto-style e-bike brands.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: a 1,000 W motor, and Taubik lists 50 km/h off road. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.
  • Motor: Bafang rear hub, 1,000 W, 100 N·m (Taubik does not say whether rated or peak)
  • Battery: 48 V 20 Ah Samsung, 960 Wh
  • Weight and load: 38 kg (85 lb); 150 kg (330 lb)

The trade-off: Taubik calls itself “a proudly Canadian-owned electric bike company”; its pages do not say where the bikes are made, so we don't either.

What do you get a dad, a grandfather or a mom?

Three wheels. The Citytri E-310 is for the dad or grandfather who loves power, the One-Trike 2.0 is the gentle way to get your mom riding, and the Meet One Tour 2.0 is the one that gets anyone outdoors, though it arrives after Christmas. See our electric trike guide and seniors guide for more.

The Swiss pocket knife of trikes

Addmotor Citytri E-310

$2,399–$2,499 ($1,899 in Red, Plus)
Addmotor Citytri E-310 folding electric trike in yellow, side view, with Addmotor's UL badge in the corner, Addmotor's own product image

This is for the folks who like SUVs, foldable chairs and Swiss pocket knives. It folds, it has a ton of torque, it's durable as hell and it can go very far. The engineers, math guys and accountants will love it: of the six trikes in this guide, it has the most torque per kilogram (90 N·m on 39 kg, our arithmetic). To date we have never had a warranty call on it, which is insane actually. Watch my first test across a field; off-road, I was blown away. It's great for the fathers and grandfathers who love power, for riding year round on three wheels, and for people with more than one property: fold it, put it in the back of the car, get there and carry stuff.

  • Where it can go: Canadian version: rated 500 W (1,100 W peak), 32 km/h. Three-wheelers are not in every province's definition, so check yours before public-road use.
  • Motor: 500 W rear drive, 1,100 W peak, 90 N·m (Addmotor Canada)
  • Battery: 48 V 20 Ah, 960 Wh, UL 2271
  • Weight and load: 39 kg with battery; 127 kg rider plus 36 kg cargo
  • Folded: 115 × 86 × 72.9 cm
  • Fit: Two sizes (Addmotor): Standard 5′1″ to 5′9″, Plus 5′3″ to 6′1″. RedTail's review covers the US 750 W version, so its power figures do not apply here.

The trade-off: Grey and Army Green are sold out in both sizes as I write this. Our Citytri review has every figure.

Getting your mom riding Eunorau One-Trike 2.0 folding electric trike, Eunorau's own product image

If you want to get your mom into e-bikes or cycling, you get her this one. It's super useful and very good at climbing hills, but it picks up speed very gradually, so it is not overwhelming. It has responsive hydraulic brakes, tons of room to carry stuff, and it folds. It's a safe bet: not exciting, but very, very useful.

  • Where it can go: Rated 500 W, limited to 32 km/h. Three-wheelers are not in every province's definition, so check yours before public-road use.
  • Motor: 48 V 500 W rear drive, 80 N·m
  • Battery: 48 V 14.5 Ah (696 Wh)
  • Weight and load: 39 kg (85.98 lb); 440 lb (200 kg) rider and cargo together
  • Brakes: Hydraulic disc, 180 mm; the levers cut the motor
  • Fit: Eunorau lists 5′2″ to 6′1″; the saddle suits every rider from 5′2″ to 5′4″, 72 of 100 at 5′8″ and 27 of 100 at 5′10″, per RedTail's model.

The trade-off: It rolls easily and lifts badly: plan ground-floor storage, and two people for a car. Our One-Trike review has more.

The keys to the outdoors

Meet One Tour 2.0

$6,499–$6,899
Meet One Tour 2.0 semi-recumbent electric trike, Meet One's own product image

This one is basically a little tank on wheels. It's like giving someone the keys to the outdoors and setting them free: no matter how out of shape you are and how old you are, this thing will get you out there, and when you're ready you can pedal too. It has reverse, two motors, a captain's chair, full suspension, a massive payload and so much power, and it's semi-recumbent, so you can ride for long periods. It's for the guy who wants his car to do everything, the one who drives a full-size pickup to the office.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: 1,500 W combined and 35 to 40 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.
  • Motors: Two 750 W, all-wheel drive, 180 N·m
  • Battery: Two Samsung packs, up to 2,400 Wh
  • Weight and load: 87.2 kg net; 550 lb, the most of any trike we sell
  • Seat: Regular or captain's chair (the captain's chair costs $400 more)

The trade-off: It is a special order, about 6 to 8 weeks, and it will not arrive by Christmas. Wrap a photo and a note, and let them have the spring.

Takeaway The Citytri is the powerful folder, the One-Trike is the gentle one, and the Tour 2.0 is the spring gift. If it has to be under the tree, order one of the first two.

What do you get a teen who is 16 or older?

Start small unless you are sure. The Samebike XD26-II is the starter, a parent can ride it too, and every bike here is rated 500 W or under. Check your province's minimum age in our Canadian e-bike law guide, and read our teens guide before you buy.

What Canada's Paediatricians Say

The Canadian Paediatric Society's handout for parents, "Electric scooters and bikes: Not safe for kids" (last updated October 2025), says: "Children under 16 years should not use e-scooters or e-bikes or ride on them as passengers." It names no exception for children's models. That is medical guidance, not a law, and provincial age rules differ. I frame the teen picks below for riders 16 and up.

The starter e-bike Samebike XD26-II full-suspension e-bike, side view, Samebike's own product image

This is for the parents who don't know if their kid will use it, so they don't want to go all out, but still want something with some years in it that they can ride themselves if the teen doesn't want to. It's the starter e-bike: it will get you places, and if you ride often it can help you lose weight.

  • Where it can go: Ships at 500 W and 32 km/h, the settings provincial rules converge on. Check your province and municipality before public-road use. Samebike's feature text says “up to 28MPH with throttle” beside a 32 km/h spec; ask us before you rely on either.
  • Motor: 500 W, 70+ N·m (Samebike Canada)
  • Battery: 48 V 15 Ah (720 Wh)
  • Weight and load: 25.5 kg (56.2 lb); 150 kg on Samebike Canada, 100 kg in its manual
  • Fit: Samebike Canada's chart: 5′2″ to 6′8″; its French chart says 5′3″ to 6′3″
  • Warranty: Samebike: frame 3 years; battery, motor and accessories 1 year

The trade-off: If you and your cargo are over 100 kg, call us first: Samebike prints two load figures.

The lowest price here Samebike 20LVXD30-II folding e-bike, side view, Samebike's own product image

The lowest price on this page, tied with the CY20, and it folds into a car trunk or a closet.

  • Where it can go: Ships at 500 W and 32 km/h, the settings provincial rules converge on. Check your province and municipality before public-road use.
  • Motor: 350 W, 35+ N·m
  • Battery: 48 V 10.4 Ah (499 Wh)
  • Weight and load: 25 kg (55.1 lb); 120 kg (Samebike Canada)
  • Fit: Samebike Canada's chart: 5′1″ to 6′3″

The trade-off: A 499 Wh pack and 20-inch wheels suit short trips more than long ones.

A taller daughter Samebike RS-A01 Pro-T step-through e-bike with its front basket, side view, Samebike's own product image

A step-through for your daughter if she has the height for it, with a 26-inch wheel and a price well under the Metas.

  • Where it can go: Ships at 500 W and 32 km/h, the settings provincial rules converge on. Check your province and municipality before public-road use. Samebike prints both 350 W (spec tab) and 500 W (description).
  • Battery: 36 V 15 Ah (540 Wh), removable
  • Brakes: Mechanical disc
  • Weight and load: 28 kg (61.7 lb); 150 kg (330 lb)
  • Fit: Samebike Canada's chart starts at 5′5″ and runs to 6′9″

The trade-off: Under 5′5″ she is outside the chart, so look at the Meta 20 or Meta 24. White is sold out as I write this. Our RS-A01 Pro-T review has the detail.

A shorter daughter, and it folds Eunorau Meta 20 folding e-bike, Eunorau's own product image

Eunorau renamed the Meta Foldable the META20 1.0. It's the same little SUV as the other Metas, it folds, and it goes low for a shorter rider.

  • Where it can go: Ships at 500 W and 32 km/h, the settings provincial rules converge on. Check your province and municipality before public-road use. Eunorau lists a faster unlock; whether an adjustable cap qualifies is not settled.
  • Motor: 48 V 500 W hub, 55 N·m
  • Battery: 48 V 15 Ah; a second 15 Ah pack is optional
  • Weight and load: 63.4 lb; 286 lb (130 kg)
  • Brakes: Hydraulic disc, 180 mm
  • Fit: From about 4′11″ to 5′3″, per RedTail's review; at 5′4″ her inseam decides. Eunorau lists 5′1″ to 6′1″.

The trade-off: If she will never fold it and stands 5′4″ or taller, the Meta 24 is 1.7 lb lighter.

Samebike CY20 folding e-bike, side view, Samebike's own product image

This one is for your daughter who goes to university or college in downtown Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal.

The trade-off: It folds for a closet or a car trunk, but at 28 kg nobody carries it up three flights. Check her building first. Pair it with a good lock: see our theft guide.

Trails and gravel Eunorau Defender full-suspension e-bike, side view, Eunorau's own product image

Full suspension at 500 W for the teen who wants trails and gravel without the weight of a fat-tire bike.

  • Where it can go: Ships at 500 W and 32 km/h, the settings provincial rules converge on. Check your province and municipality before public-road use. Eunorau lists it as unlockable to 45 km/h for off-road use; whether an adjustable cap qualifies is not settled.
  • Motor: 48 V 500 W rear hub, 60 N·m
  • Battery: 720 Wh, removable
  • Weight and load: 66 lb (30 kg); 300 lb (136 kg)
  • Fit: Two frames: the 17″ below about 5′5″, the 19″ from about 5′5″ to 5′9″, per RedTail's review. Eunorau lists 5′3″ to 6′4″.

The trade-off: The 17Ah battery upgrade is a 19″-only option.

The best of everything Eunorau Urus 2.0 full-suspension electric mountain bike, side view, Eunorau's own product image

This is for the mom and dad who buy their teen the newest console and the sneakers everyone wants, and want him to have the best of everything. It's the most expensive bike on our teen shelf.

  • Where it can go: Rated 500 W, and Zeus ships it set to 32 km/h. Eunorau also prints 45 km/h for private property and off-road, and the display switches between them. Whether a changeable cap qualifies is not settled, so we make no road-legal claim.
  • Motor: Bafang M600 mid-drive, 500 W nominal, up to 120 N·m
  • Battery: 48 V 17.5 Ah, Samsung cells
  • Parts: RockShox Psylo fork, RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock, SRAM NX 11-speed, dropper post
  • Weight and load: 61.7 lb (28 kg); 300 lb (136 kg)
  • Fit: Two frames; Eunorau lists 5′3″ to 6′4″. RedTail's review models the 19″: above 5′7″ you raise the saddle on the dropper post.

The trade-off: Parents should know the 45 km/h setting lives in the display. Decide your family's rule before the box is opened.

Takeaway If you are not sure they will stick with it, buy the XD26-II. If you already know they will, the Urus 2.0 is the top of our teen shelf. Either way, decide your family's speed rule before the box is opened.

What do you get someone with land?

Give them power, because they have somewhere to use it. These eight are for acreage, farms, vineyards, cottages and permitted trails. All eight are over the road line, so none is a commuter. Check the off-road rules where they ride, and check their height.

Ready for the apocalypse Eunorau Flash AWD fat-tire e-bike, side view, Eunorau's own product image

  • Where it can go: Over the line: 2,000 W rated and about 60 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow. Treat it as an off-road machine, including the long rides.

You get this one for the guy who lives on a big farm.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: 5,000 W and 95 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow. Off-road vehicle rules can still apply on private land, so check yours.

The trade-off: This is a dirt bike in everything but the engine, so it suits someone who already rides.

For winery owners Addmotor Grandtan X full-suspension electric trike, side view, Addmotor's own product image

This is for the folks who own wineries. That's all I have to say.

  • Where it can go: Addmotor Canada gives a 1,100 W peak and no rated wattage; its US store lists 750 W rated. Treat it as a higher-power trike: private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.

  • Weight and load: 58 kg (127.9 lb); 127 kg rider plus 36 kg cargo
  • Tires: 24 × 4.0″ front, 20 × 4.0″ rear

The trade-off: Our Grandtan X review covers how it rides.

This one is for the guys or girls who love to go off-road and need a trike.

More power

Tesway X9 Ultra

$2,899–$2,999
Tesway X9 Ultra dual-motor e-bike, Tesway's own product image

This is for the Hellcat people, the ones who always want more power and more power and more power. It's for the guy who loves the Lambo because it's loud and not because it's Italian.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: two 1,200 W motors and 70 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.

The trade-off: If he stands over about 5′8″, measure first. More in our X9 Ultra review.

Trusts themselves

Eunorau FAT-AWD 3.0

$2,399 ($2,299 in Black)
Eunorau FAT-AWD 3.0 step-through fat-tire e-bike, side view, Eunorau's own product image

This is for the lady or man who never speeds and never acts recklessly, and who still wants confidence in the amount of power they have: enough to climb, and enough to ride in snow year round. They care about having that power more than they care about the line, because they trust themselves.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: two 500 W motors, 1,000 W combined, so it is not a power-assisted bicycle. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.
  • Motors: 2 × 500 W hubs, front and rear, 110 N·m combined
  • Battery: 48 V 15 Ah (720 Wh), removable; a second pack is optional
  • Weight and load: 79.4 lb (36 kg); 375 lb (170 kg)
  • Fit: Eunorau prints 5′3″ to 6′1″; RedTail's review can only confirm the saddle reaches its formula height for 14 of 100 riders at 5′6″, so measure.

The trade-off: It ships at 32 km/h, and Eunorau's app unlocks 45 km/h. That setting does not change what the bike is.

The physicist Addmotor SpytanX reverse electric trike, side view, Addmotor's own product image

This is for the physicist, the person who loves stability and will take the math over anyone's opinion. Two front wheels tilt into the turn and one drives from the back.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: the SpytanX we sell has a 750 W motor (1,400 W peak), as Addmotor's US page prints it; Addmotor Canada's FAQ still says 250 W. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow.
  • Battery: 48 V 20 Ah, Samsung cells
  • Brakes: Hydraulic disc on all three wheels, 180 mm
  • Weight: 47 kg (109 lb) with battery
  • Folded: 104 × 88 × 80 cm, saddle off
  • Fit: Between 4′9″ and 5′9″ on our listing; RedTail's review measures an 11.2-inch standover

The trade-off: Most men over 5′9″ will not fit this one.

Takeaway Power needs room. Every bike here belongs on land you can ride, so ask where they will use it before you pick the wattage.

Can you give a kid an electric dirt bike?

You can, and I will show you the one, but read the paediatricians first. The Canadian Paediatric Society advises against e-bikes under 16, and that is the honest place to start. If your kid already rides well and you will supervise, the Eunorau S1 is built and sized for them.

Read This First

The Canadian Paediatric Society says: "Children under 16 years should not use e-scooters or e-bikes or ride on them as passengers." (Caring for Kids, last updated October 2025.) It names no exception for children's models. That is medical guidance, not a law, and the decision is yours.

A kid who can already ride

Eunorau S1

$2,159
Eunorau S1 electric dirt bike, side view, Eunorau's own product image

You want to get your kid an electric dirt bike, and you're sure they are good at riding and have the safety gear and supervision needed. This is the one.

  • Where it can go: Over the line: 4,800 W peak and 70 km/h. Ride it on private land with permission, or where your province's off-road rules allow. Read our listing's age section first.
  • Motor: 60 V mid motor, 4,800 W peak; no rated figure printed
  • Battery: 60 V 30 Ah, 1,800 Wh
  • Weight and load: 69 kg (152 lb); 100 kg (220 lb)
  • Fit: Eunorau: 4′9″ to 5′9″. Both feet flat for 90 of 100 children at 5′0″, per RedTail's review.

The trade-off: Eunorau recommends adult supervision and protective gear. In Ontario an electric dirt bike is an off-road vehicle under the Off-Road Vehicles Act, so check the rules where you ride.

How do you size an e-bike you are giving as a surprise?

Get their height and inseam without giving it away, then read the fit line on the card. Ask a partner or a sibling, or lay a pair of well-fitting pants flat and measure the inside leg as a rough guide. If they sit near either end of a range, call us before you buy.

There are two ways a big bike goes wrong, and they point in opposite directions. On some bikes a tall rider runs out of seatpost, so the saddle won't reach the height their legs want. On others the seat is fixed and high, so a shorter rider can't put both feet down at a stop.

The problem Bike RedTail's figure
Tall riders run out of seatpost X9 Ultra Saddle reaches the formula height for 13 of 100 riders at 5′8″ (review)
Tall riders run out of seatpost Alaska Pro 10 in 100 at 5′10″, none from 6′1″ (review)
Tall riders run out of seatpost X5 AWD 17 of 100 at 6′0″ (review)
Shorter riders can't get both feet flat Raptor ST202 Pro 37 of 100 at 5′8″ (review)
Shorter riders can't get both feet flat R1 Plus 35 of 100 at 5′8″ (review)
Shorter riders can't get both feet flat Tiger Plus 27 of 100 at 5′6″ (model)

A maker's height window and a measured fit are different things, and on these bikes they disagree. Freesky prints 5′6″ to 6′8″ for the Alaska Pro, for example, and our own review says it suits riders up to about 5′8″. When the two differ, go with the measurement.

How much does a good e-bike gift cost?

On this page a good e-bike gift runs from $1,000 to $6,899. A first bike for a teen sits at the bottom of that range, most adult gifts land between $2,000 and $3,000, and the trikes and the top-end machines run higher. Here is the list by starting price.

A bike can be paid for over time: see how e-bike financing works. For the full picture of what e-bikes cost in Canada, read our 2026 e-bike guide.

When do you have to order for Christmas?

Order by Thursday, December 10 for delivery by Thursday, December 24. Our shipping policy is 1 to 3 business days to process and 2 to 7 in transit, so ten business days is the outer edge. Earlier is better, and shipping is free across Canada.

  • Remote addresses: we do not ship to P.O. boxes or remote communities, so call us first.
  • Special orders: the Meet One Tour 2.0 takes about 6 to 8 weeks and will not arrive by Christmas.
  • Back-order colours: two Meta 275 colours are marked back order. Pick another colour if the date matters.
Takeaway December 10 is the last safe day on paper. If this is the one big gift, order in November.

What if the gift is wrong?

You have 15 days from delivery to return an unused, unopened item, with a 15% restocking fee, and you pay the return shipping. The clock starts at delivery, not on Christmas morning. A bike delivered on December 10 reaches day 15 on December 25, so a gift opened that day has run out its window.

Plan around that. If you are unsure about the size, settle it with us before you order. If you unbox and test the bike early, you keep our defect cover, which runs 14 days from delivery on a factory-defective bike with under 10 km on it, but it is no longer unopened. Defects after that are warranty claims, and we manage those with the maker for you. If we shipped the wrong item or it is materially not as described, we pay the return shipping and there is no restocking fee. The full terms are in our refund policy.

How do you hide, wrap and charge it before the day?

Hide the box, because you can't wrap a bike. These are big cartons: the XD26-II ships in a box 136 × 24 × 72 cm at 29 kg, per its manual, and Eunorau lists 148 × 31 × 79 cm for the Meta 20. A garage, a neighbour or a parent's basement beats the front hall.

The bikes ship partially assembled, so decide who will finish the build. If you assemble it yourself, your first month of Zeus Care includes walkthroughs by phone or video. Charge the battery indoors, and read the manual first: Freesky's Alaska Pro manual, for one, gives a charging range of 0 to 40 °C. For a bow on the day, wrap the helmet and leave a note where the bike is.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an e-bike a good Christmas gift?

Yes, if it fits the rider and the place they will ride. Check where they will use it, their height and the delivery date before you buy. If you can't get those three answers, a call to us at 1-866-938-7580 is the next best step.

How much should I spend on an e-bike gift?

The bikes on this page run from $1,000 to $6,899. A first e-bike for a teen sits near the bottom of that range, and most adult gifts here are between $2,000 and $3,000. Financing is available; see our financing guide.

How do I get the size right without asking?

Find their height and inseam quietly: ask a partner or a sibling, or lay a pair of well-fitting pants flat and measure the inside leg as a rough guide. Then read the fit line on the card. If they sit near either end of the range, call us.

When is the last day to order for Christmas?

Order by Thursday, December 10 for delivery by Thursday, December 24. That is our policy's outer edge: up to 3 business days to process and up to 7 in transit. The Meet One Tour 2.0 is a special order of about 6 to 8 weeks and will not arrive by Christmas.

Can I return an e-bike after Christmas?

Our return window is 15 days from delivery, on unused and unopened items, with a 15% restocking fee. The clock runs from delivery, not from Christmas Day, so the window on a bike delivered on December 10 closes on December 25.

Does Zeus sell gift cards?

No. Zeus does not sell a gift card today. If you want them to choose, call us at 1-866-938-7580 and we will work out the simplest way to do it.

What age can a teen ride an e-bike in Canada?

It depends on the province, and our Canadian e-bike law guide lists each one. Separately, the Canadian Paediatric Society says children under 16 should not use e-bikes, so I frame the teen picks here for riders 16 and up.

Is an e-bike or an e-scooter a better gift for a teen?

The Canadian Paediatric Society's under-16 advice covers both. For a rider 16 or older, an e-bike's bigger wheels and working pedals make it the one I would give, and it is the only one of the two we cover in this guide.

Are any of these made in Canada?

Taubik calls itself a proudly Canadian-owned electric bike company, and it is the Canadian brand on this page. Its pages do not say where the bikes are manufactured, so we don't claim that they are made here.

Do these bikes come assembled?

They ship partially assembled, and final setup is required. Your first month of Zeus Care includes assembly walkthroughs by phone or video, and each listing has the assembly video or instructions.

The Bottom Line

Start with the person, then check where they will ride, how tall they are and the date. If you are stuck, call me at 1-866-938-7580 and tell me who it's for; real humans answer. We are an online store with no showroom, so our ride videos on each listing are how you see these bikes move. Shipping is free across Canada, the return window is 15 days from delivery on unused, unopened items with a 15% restocking fee, and financing can spread the cost. And if the person on your list is you, nobody here will tell.
