2000W+ Electric Bikes in Canada: 22 High-Power Models, Top Speeds and the Rules
Every bike here has motors rated over 1,500W, all motors added together, from fat-tire dual-motor bikes to step-throughs and electric dirt bikes. Where a maker prints only a peak, we count half of it (†); where Eahora Canada lists a bike at 500W, the line prints both of Eahora’s figures (§). The lineup gives each bike’s motors, battery and top speed as its maker prints them, with live prices and stock. Bikes advertised as 2000W whose rating is lower are in the peak table.

Quick Answer
A 2000W e-bike’s motors add up to about 2,000 watts or more: one big motor, or two that share the work. That is four times the 500W line the provincial e-bike rules converge on, so no province lets it ride roads, bike lanes or paths as an e-bike. Zeus eBikes Canada lists 22 rated over 1,500W, from $2,049 to $6,499, shipped free from Canada: 17 with two motors, 20 with full suspension and 4 step-throughs, with makers’ top speeds up to 95 km/h. Eahora Canada lists 5 of them at 500W (why they are here).

Every 2000W+ E-Bike Here, Cheapest First
Each line repeats the maker’s own figures from its product page, read on 31 October 2026. “Rated” is the motors’ rating added together, the figure the provincial definitions measure and the one this shelf is built on. A km/h figure marked “about” is our conversion of the maker’s mph. Prices are the lowest you can order today, in CAD.

† The maker prints only a peak; we count half of it (our estimate, not the maker’s figure). § Eahora’s global page rates the motors this high; Eahora Canada lists the bike at 500W (why it is here). “Sold out” means no version can be ordered today.
A U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warning (26-337, 19 March 2026) names the Ridstar Q20 Pro; its listing quotes it.
5 Eahora models: rated high, listed at 500W in Canada
Eahora’s global pages rate these bikes’ motors from 1,600W to 4,400W. Eahora Canada lists the same models at 500W: most of its pages say they are “limited to 500W output to comply with local road regulations” and add “peak performance unlocked for private use”, and the DL2000’s lists two 250W motors. We shelve by Eahora’s global rating, so they stay here, and each line prints both of Eahora’s figures: Eahora DL2000 ($3,599) · Eahora Romeo II ($3,899) · Eahora Juliet Pro II ($3,999) · Eahora Romeo Pro II 2026 ($4,249) · Eahora Romeo Pro II ($4,299). The Juliet Pro II, Romeo II, Romeo Pro II and Romeo Pro II 2026 are also listed, in a labelled group, on our 500W page.

What “2000W” Means: Rated, Peak, One Motor or Two
The same number does different jobs on different spec sheets. Freesky headlines its Ranger Air M-540 as a “4000W Peak Dual Motor” bike and prints “2 × 2000W Peak Motors”; Tesway calls the X7 AWD’s pair “Dual 2000W motors (3600W peak)” and rates it “52V 2000W” in its spec table. Read the words beside the number, then count the way this shelf does:
| What the maker prints | How we count it | Bikes here |
|---|---|---|
| A rating, or one plain figure, for each motor | As printed, all motors added | 9 |
| Only a peak (“2 × 2000W peak”) | Half the peak, marked † | 8 |
| A global rating, listed at 500W in Canada | The global rating, both figures printed, marked § | 5 |
| A rating at or under 1,500W, sold as 2000W by its peak | On its rated shelf; listed in the peak table | 7 (not counted above) |
We count by the rating because that is what the provincial definitions measure. Nova Scotia’s, in force from 19 October 2026, is typical: the motors, “singly or in combination”, must have “a total continuous nominal power output rating” of 500 W or less (N.S. Reg. 221/2026, s. 3).
How Fast Does a 2000W E-Bike Go?
As fast as its maker programs it. The watts do not set top speed: the controller setting does, so two bikes with the same motors can print different speeds, and some ship at a lower default (Tesway prints a 16 mph, about 26 km/h, default for the X5 AWD and X7 AWD). The extra power shows up as torque: how hard the bike pulls from a stop, up a hill or under load. The provincial e-bike rules converge on 32 km/h of assisted speed; a bike whose motor pushes past that is outside them.
The makers’ printed top speeds, fastest first:
- Eunorau R1+: 59 mph (95 km/h) ($6,499)
- Eunorau R1: 55 mph (85 km/h) ($5,669)
- Eahora Romeo Pro III: 48 mph (about 77 km/h) ($4,699)

How Far Does a 2000W E-Bike Go?
On a full charge and the throttle alone, for an 82 kg rider on flat pavement in still air at 25 °C, the 13 bikes here that our US sister store, RedTail eBikes, has modelled go about 79 to 195 km at 32 km/h and about 58 to 145 km at 40 km/h. Two motors and higher speeds draw more per kilometre; pedalling stretches every figure and climbing shortens it.

RedTail’s figures, converted from miles: throttle only, both motors where there are two, level pavement, still air at 77 °F (25 °C), a 180 lb (82 kg) rider, one full pack. Each modelled bike has the motors and battery of the version Zeus sells.
To compare batteries, multiply volts by amp-hours: a 48V 25Ah pack holds 1,200 Wh, and the packs here run from 1,200 to 4,800 Wh.
Is a 2000W E-Bike Legal in Canada?
Not as a power-assisted bicycle. Canada has had no federal e-bike definition since the federal power-assisted-bicycle definition was repealed effective February 4, 2021. E-bike rules are provincial, and they converge on a 500W motor and 32 km/h of assisted speed (Nova Scotia’s 30 km/h ended on 19 October 2026: N.S. Reg. 221/2026, s. 3). A bike rated over that is outside every provincial e-bike rule, so no province lets it ride roads, bike lanes or paths as an e-bike. Off public roads, the landowner, trail authority or track sets access; check the off-road vehicle rules where you ride.
Motors count together in at least five jurisdictions. The definitions of Saskatchewan, Prince Edward Island, Yukon and Nova Scotia say “singly or in combination”, and British Columbia’s says “in total”: under those, two 1,000W motors make a 2,000W bike.
A speed setting or a “road mode” does not change the motor rating, which is what the definitions measure. For a bike Eahora Canada lists at 500W (§), whether that listing changes the answer is not settled. What a bike over the line becomes, and whether it can be registered, plated or insured, is set by each province: our Alberta and Ontario guides go through one province each, and our laws guide covers the rest.

These bikes are advertised with a figure of 2,000W or more that is their peak. Their makers rate them at 1,500W or less, so each sits on the shelf its rating fits. Here they are with both figures, to compare with the bikes above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a 2000W e-bike legal in Canada?
Not as a power-assisted bicycle. Canada has had no federal e-bike definition since February 4, 2021, and the provincial rules converge on a motor rated 500W or less with assistance that stops at 32 km/h; a 2,000W motor is four times that line. A bike over that line is outside every provincial e-bike rule, so no province lets it ride roads, bike lanes or paths as an e-bike; what else it can be, and where it can go, is set province by province: our laws guide covers each one.
How fast does a 2000W e-bike go?
As fast as its maker programs it: the watts do not set top speed, the controller setting does. The fastest printed figure here is 59 mph (95 km/h), on the Eunorau R1+; every bike’s printed speed is listed on this page. Motor help past 32 km/h is outside the provincial e-bike rules.
How far does a 2000W e-bike go on one charge?
It depends on the battery, your speed and your weight. Our US sister store, RedTail eBikes, modelled 13 of the bikes here on the throttle alone for an 82 kg rider on flat pavement at 25 °C: from a full charge they go about 79 to 195 km at 32 km/h and about 58 to 145 km at 40 km/h (the range table links each model). The batteries here hold 1,200 to 4,800 Wh; multiply volts by amp-hours to compare them.
What is the difference between rated and peak power?
Rated power is what a motor can deliver continuously; peak is a short burst for starts and climbs. The provincial definitions measure the rating, so we shelve bikes by it: a bike rated 1,000W with a 2,000W peak sits on our 1000W shelf, and the peak table lists the ones sold as 2000W that way. Where a maker prints only a peak, we count half of it and mark the bike †.
Is a 2000W e-bike the same as two 1000W motors?
On this shelf, yes: we add the motors together, the way Saskatchewan, Prince Edward Island, Yukon and Nova Scotia (“singly or in combination”) and British Columbia (“in total”) count them. 17 of the 22 bikes here have two motors; the Tesway X5 AWD’s two 1000W motors make its 2,000W. Read the words beside the number: “2 × 2000W peak” is a 4,000W peak, and “dual 2000W motors” can mean two motors that add up to 2,000W.
1500W vs 2000W: what is the difference?
About a third more continuous power, which shows up as torque on hills and with load more than as top speed. Both are over the 500W line, so neither fits the provincial e-bike rules. Compare the 1500W e-bikes with this shelf, or read our wattage guide.
2000W vs 3000W or 5000W: is more power always better?
Only if your riding uses it. A bigger motor brings more torque and usually a bigger battery and more weight; the bike here with the highest peak, the Eunorau R1+ (5,000W rated, 17,000W peak), is an electric dirt bike. For hills and loads, compare torque in newton-metres (N·m), which 15 of the 22 bikes’ maker lines here print.
Does a 32 km/h road mode make a 2000W e-bike legal?
A speed setting does not change the motor rating, and the provincial definitions measure the rating: a 2,000W motor stays over the 500W line in any mode. For a bike Eahora Canada lists at 500W (marked § here), whether that listing changes the answer is not settled. Ask before you buy if you plan to ride on public roads: 1-866-938-7580.
Do I need a licence, registration or insurance for a 2000W e-bike?
A 2000W bike is outside the power-assisted bicycle rules, so what it needs (a licence, registration, insurance) depends on what your province treats it as and where you ride it. Our Alberta and Ontario guides go through one province each, and our laws guide covers the rest.
What is the most powerful e-bike Zeus sells?
By rating, the Eunorau R1+, at 5,000W with a 17,000W peak (Eunorau’s page).
Which 2000W e-bike here is the fastest?
By the makers’ printed top speeds, the Eunorau R1+, at 59 mph (95 km/h). Motor help past 32 km/h is outside the power-assisted bicycle rules; see every bike’s printed speed.
What is the cheapest 2000W e-bike?
The lowest-priced bikes here today are the Freesky Eurostar Turbo M-410 and the Freesky Ranger Air M-540 ($2,049 each). 14 of the 22 are under $3,000, and every price includes free shipping from Canada.
Do you sell 2000W conversion kits?
No. Zeus sells complete e-bikes, and every figure on this page is the bike maker’s own for the whole bike: motors, battery, top speed and suspension. Questions about a bike you already own: 1-866-938-7580 or support@zeusebikes.ca.
Why do some Eahora bikes here say 500W?
Eahora’s global pages rate these bikes’ motors at 1,600W to 4,400W, and Eahora Canada lists the same models at 500W (most of its pages say “compliant 500W output out of the box”). We shelve by Eahora’s global rating and print both figures on every § line. The Juliet Pro II, Romeo II, Romeo Pro II and Romeo Pro II 2026 are also listed, in a labelled group, on our 500W page.
