Quick Answer

Freesky builds high-power fat-tire e-bikes: 5 of the 7 here run two motors (front and rear) and 2 run one, all on 4-inch tires with front and rear suspension. Freesky prints a peak motor figure, not the rated figure Canada’s provincial e-bike rules test, so read the rules section before you plan road use. The warranty is Freesky’s: 24 months on the motor, battery and controller and 12 months on every other part. See every bike or check the fit.

Takeaway

Choose two motors for traction and climbing on loose ground, one motor for a lighter, simpler bike, and the step-thru Rangers if getting on and off matters most. Not sure? Call 1-866-938-7580 with your height, weight and where you ride.

Will It Fit You? Freesky’s Rider Heights, Lowest First

Freesky prints one frame size per model with a recommended rider-height range. Measure your height in socks against a wall and pick a bike whose range includes it; the tallest riders here go up to 6′8″.

Freesky’s published shipping times: about 30–45 days for batteries (15–20 days to dispatch from China, then 7–14 days in transit) and for replacement motors; usually 3–10 days for other parts from its warehouse in the United States or Canada, or about 2 weeks when a part ships from its factory in China. Batteries ship without a charger.

Peak Watts, Speed and the Rules in Canada

Canada’s federal e-bike definition was repealed in 2021, and the rules are now provincial: they converge on a motor of 500W or less, assistance that stops at 32 km/h (Nova Scotia’s 30 km/h ended on 19 October 2026, when N.S. Reg. 221/2026 set 32 km/h) and working pedals. A bike rated over 500W, or two motors over 500W together, is not a road-legal power-assisted bicycle in any province at any mode setting.

Freesky prints only a peak figure for the motors here (4,000W to 6,000W, two motors together where there are two), never the rated output the rules test, so none of these bikes can be shown to meet the 500W line from Freesky’s figures. Freesky’s own FAQ says “All Freesky eBikes are limited to a maximum speed of 32 km/h (20 mph) by default” and that to go faster “you will need to obtain a license, license plates, and insurance for your eBike”, while its spec tables print top speeds of 34 to 45 mph. In Québec, the SAAQ says a power-assisted bicycle over 500W “is still considered a bicycle, but is not authorized for use on a public road, including roadways and bike paths”. Plan these bikes for private land and trails where your province and landowner allow them, and check before any public-road use: e-bike laws by province, or screen a bike in the Zeus eBike Finder.

Cold Weather: What Freesky’s Manuals Say

The Freesky manuals we have read (Alaska Pro M-520, Ranger M-540, Warrior M-530, Eurostar Turbo M-410 and Swift Horse X-6E) say: “This equipment is not intended to be used and stored at ambient temperatures less than 0°C (32°F) or above ambient temperatures of 40°C (104°F).” Read the manual for your model before you plan winter riding or storage, and ask us if you are unsure.

Warranty and Service

A Freesky from Zeus carries the warranty Freesky publishes on its own Canadian store, backed by Freesky in full: 24 months on the motor, battery and controller and 12 months on every other component, from your purchase date, for the original owner, against manufacturing defects. Freesky repairs or replaces the part; labour is not covered, and Freesky’s policy excludes wear parts such as tires, tubes and brake pads, water damage and battery damage from power surges, the wrong charger, poor maintenance or normal wear. Zeus handles the claim for you, and your first month of Zeus Care is included: we diagnose the problem, document it, file the claim, follow it up and coordinate shipping (warranty policy).

Shipping, Delivery and Buying From Zeus

  • Shipping: free to all 10 provinces; Freesky does not deliver to the Yukon, the Northwest Territories or Nunavut. Freesky ships in-stock bikes from Canada within 1–2 business days; delivery then takes about 3–4 days to Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec, 4–6 to Saskatchewan, Alberta, Newfoundland and New Brunswick, 5–8 to British Columbia and 7–10 elsewhere (Freesky’s published estimates). A tracking email is sent once the bike ships. No P.O. boxes; in a remote community, call us before you order (shipping policy).
  • Assembly: bikes ship partially assembled; the pedals, handlebar, front wheel and accessories go on before the first ride, by you with the included instructions or by a bike shop. Packages need a signature.
  • Payment: debit, credit or financing at checkout; your card is preauthorised, and the full charge does not process until the bike ships. Card orders include a quick identity check after checkout. To skip it, email sales@zeusebikes.ca with the bike, your name, address and phone number, and pay the invoice we send by Interac e-Transfer (how buying works). Compare financing first in our financing guide.
  • Cancelling: free within 24 hours of purchase. After that, a 3% fee covers the payment processing cost and we cannot guarantee to cancel before the bike ships; the fee never applies when we cancel. Cancel by email to support@zeusebikes.ca (refund policy).
  • Returns: an unused, unopened bike can be returned within 15 days of delivery in its original packaging, with a 15% restocking fee, and you pay the return shipping (refund policy).
  • Defective on arrival: if a bike arrives factory-defective, with under 10 km of use, we help arrange a refund or warranty repair within 14 days of delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Freesky e-bikes any good?

Here is what Freesky publishes and stands behind, all on its own Canadian store: a full spec table for every model, a 24-month warranty on the motor, battery and controller, and UL 2849 (electrical system) and UL 2271 (battery) marks on its product pages, with the certificates it links naming the models or battery packs they cover. What it does not publish is a rated motor output, which matters for the rules (see the rules section above). Our Freesky brand profile sets out what we checked.

Where can I buy a Freesky e-bike in Canada?

Here, online: 7 Freesky models are available to order, with free shipping to all 10 provinces. Freesky ships in-stock bikes from Canada within 1–2 business days, and delivery takes about 3–10 days depending on the province. Freesky does not deliver to the Yukon, the Northwest Territories or Nunavut. Questions before you buy: 1-866-938-7580 or sales@zeusebikes.ca.

Where are Freesky e-bikes made?

Freesky does not name a factory on its product pages. Its shipping policy refers to “our factory in China”, and the UL 2849 certificate it links for the Swift Horse X-6E names GuangZhou Yansan Science & Technology Co., Ltd., in Guangzhou, China, as the certificate holder.

What is the top speed of a Freesky e-bike?

Freesky’s spec tables print 34 to 45 mph for the bikes here. Its FAQ also says “All Freesky eBikes are limited to a maximum speed of 32 km/h (20 mph) by default” and that to go faster “you will need to obtain a license, license plates, and insurance for your eBike”. Canada’s provincial e-bike rules converge on assistance that stops at 32 km/h (Nova Scotia’s 30 km/h ended on 19 October 2026); the rules section above explains what that means for these bikes.

Are Freesky e-bikes legal in Canada?

Canada’s federal e-bike definition was repealed in 2021, and the rules are now provincial: they converge on a motor of 500W or less, assistance that stops at 32 km/h (Nova Scotia’s 30 km/h ended on 19 October 2026) and working pedals. A bike rated over 500W, or two motors over 500W together, is not a road-legal power-assisted bicycle in any province at any mode setting. Freesky prints only peak figures for these motors, so none can be shown to meet the 500W line from Freesky’s figures. Plan them for private land and trails where your province and landowner allow them, and check e-bike laws by province before any public-road use.

What warranty comes with a Freesky e-bike?

The warranty Freesky publishes on its own Canadian store, backed by Freesky in full: 24 months on the motor, battery and controller and 12 months on every other component, from your purchase date, for the original owner, against manufacturing defects. Freesky repairs or replaces the part; labour is not covered. Zeus handles the claim for you, and your first month of Zeus Care is included (warranty policy).

How far can a Freesky e-bike go on one charge?

Freesky prints a range for each model, measured in its own conditions; your weight, speed, terrain and running both motors on a dual-motor bike all change it, and Freesky prints a lower figure for both motors where it gives two. Each card in the lineup shows Freesky’s figure. The biggest battery here is on the Freesky Alaska Pro M-520: 48V 45Ah in two packs (2,160 Wh).

How much does a Freesky e-bike weigh?

From 83 lb (the Freesky Swift Horse Ultra X-6E) to 99 lb (the Freesky Eurostar Turbo M-410) for the bikes here, as Freesky prints the weights. These are big fat-tire bikes, so plan where you will store them and how you will lift them over a step.

Which Freesky e-bike has two batteries?

The Freesky Alaska Pro M-520: Freesky prints a 48V 45Ah battery made of an 18Ah and a 27Ah pack. For range from one pack, compare the batteries on the cards in the lineup.

Can I buy a spare battery or parts for my Freesky?

Yes. Original Freesky batteries, a replacement motor, a throttle speed controller and brake pads are in the parts table above. Freesky matches batteries, motors and controllers to your bike’s model and serial number, so email both to support@zeusebikes.ca after you order; batteries and motors take about 30–45 days to arrive, and batteries ship without a charger.

Can I buy and ride a Freesky in Québec?

Yes, we ship to Québec for free, and Freesky estimates about 3–4 days for delivery there after it dispatches the bike. On a public road it is different: the SAAQ says an electric bike’s motor “must have a maximum power rating of no more than 500 watts”, and its FAQ says a bicycle with a 1,000-watt motor “is still considered a bicycle, but is not authorized for use on a public road, including roadways and bike paths”. Freesky prints only peak figures for these motors, so none can be shown to meet the 500-watt line from Freesky’s figures. Read our Québec e-bike laws guide before you ride one on a public road.

How much does a Freesky e-bike cost in Canada?

From $2,099 to $3,149 for the bikes available here; dual-motor models start at $2,099 and single-motor models at $2,699. Prices on this page update with the store. To spread the cost, see our guide to financing an e-bike in Canada.

Does Freesky make a step-through e-bike?

Yes: the Freesky Ranger Plus M-540 and Freesky Ranger Air M-540, from $2,099. Freesky prints an 18″ step-thru height for the Ranger frames. More low-step bikes from every brand: our step-through electric bikes.
