Quick Answer

Pick by how you ride. For drive at both wheels, which Tesway says improves “traction and control on sand, gravel, and wet surfaces”: the X7 AWD (step-over) or the X5 AWD (step-through), with the same two hub motors (2,000W rated, 3,600W peak) and 52V 60Ah battery. For the most range per dollar, with a rear seat and backrest in the box: the single-motor X7 Pro New. For mountain trails: the full-suspension X9 Ultra, with two 1,200W motors (4,000W combined peak) on 26×4.0 tires. Tesway rates all four above 500W, so none is a power-assisted bicycle in any province: treat them as off-road machines.

The Tesway Lineup at Zeus: Specs, Prices and Stock

Each bike below carries Tesway’s own published figures, as our Tesway product pages print them (read 17 October 2026), with its price and stock live from the store, and the bikes in stock come first. Where Tesway prints a figure two ways, both are shown. Watt-hours are our arithmetic: volts × amp-hours.

Who Each Tesway Is Not For

Each of these bikes is the wrong choice for someone. For all four, that includes anyone who needs an e-bike for roads and bike lanes: Tesway rates every one of them above 500W, and our 500W e-bikes are built for that job. Bike by bike, the others are:

  • X7 AWD: Riders who would rather step through the frame (the X5 AWD is the same bike, step-through). Riders who want a rear seat with a backrest in the box and the most range per dollar (the X7 Pro New). Anyone who must lift the bike often or lives above ground level without an elevator. Anyone planning to ride below freezing: Tesway’s manual says the bike is “not intended to be used and stored at ambient temperatures less than 0°C”.
  • X5 AWD: Riders who want a rear seat with a backrest in the box and the most range per dollar (the X7 Pro New). Anyone who must lift the bike often or lives above ground level without an elevator. Anyone planning to ride below freezing: Tesway’s manual says the bike is “not intended to be used and stored at ambient temperatures less than 0°C”.
  • X7 Pro New: Riders under 160 cm, or anyone who wants to step through the frame (the X5 AWD is step-through). Anyone who must lift the bike often. Delivery riders who need warranty cover for commercial use.
  • X9 Ultra: Riders who want the most range per charge (the X7 AWD and X7 Pro New carry about 3,120 Wh). Anyone who wants a passenger seat (Tesway lists its seat for the X5 and X7 models). Anyone who must lift the bike often. Anyone planning to ride below freezing: Tesway’s manual says the bike is “not intended to be used and stored at ambient temperatures less than 0°C”.

Buying a Tesway From Zeus in Canada

A Tesway from Zeus arrives with Tesway’s current gifts and its 2-year limited warranty, and with a Canadian team behind it: we process the order, send you its tracking, and file and follow any warranty claim with Tesway for you. What that covers, from our policies and Tesway’s:

  • Shipping: Free shipping to all 10 provinces, and the bike ships from Canada (Tesway’s FAQ names its warehouses in Vancouver and Toronto). We process your order within 1–3 business days; Tesway’s shipping policy gives 3–7 business days for in-stock bikes after that (5–7 in its FAQ). Tracking comes by email, and Tesway’s carriers ask for a signature at delivery. No delivery to Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut or P.O. boxes; if you live in a remote community, call us before you order (shipping policy).
  • Warranty: Tesway’s 2-year limited warranty, backed by Tesway in full: manufacturing defects in material or workmanship, for two years from the day you receive the bike. We file and follow every claim for you. Shipping damage has to be reported within 14 days of delivery, with dated photos (warranty and Zeus Care).
  • Tesway’s current gifts: With the X7 AWD, X5 AWD and X7 Pro New: a free 6-piece accessory kit (water bottle holder, phone mount, rear bag, bike lock, brake pads and a rearview mirror; Tesway lists it at $206.94) and a free 2-year extended warranty on the motor, battery and frame, and the X7 Pro New adds a free 2-year Zeus Care plan ($229 value). With the X9 Ultra: a free rear rack and full fenders (Tesway lists the set at $229), a free 5-piece accessory kit and a free 2-year warranty on the motor, battery and frame. Tesway runs these offers for a limited time and has not published an end date; we include them with every order while Tesway’s offer runs, and the gifts can arrive in a separate package from the bike.
  • Zeus Care: Your first month of Zeus Care is included: assembly walkthroughs, remote diagnostics, maintenance help and claim handling, by phone, email or video. Zeus Care plans continue it for 1, 2, 3 or 5 years ($119, $229, $339 or $599). Zeus Care is our service, not added coverage.
  • Returns: 15-day returns from delivery on unused, unopened bikes in their original packaging (15% restocking fee; you pay return shipping). A bike that arrives defective, used under 10 km, is a dead-on-arrival case: tell us within 14 days and we help arrange a refund or a warranty repair (refund policy).
  • Paying: financing is offered at checkout; our guide to financing an e-bike in Canada explains the options.

What Tesway’s Manuals Say Before You Ride

Tesway’s owner’s manuals set three limits that matter in Canada, and we print them so you can plan around them before you buy. Ask us or Tesway about any of them for the bike you have in mind.

  • Cold: Tesway’s X5/X7 AWD and X9 Ultra manuals (April 2026) say “This equipment is not intended to be used and stored at ambient temperatures less than 0°C (32°F) or above ambient temperatures of 40°C (104°F).” The X9 Ultra’s manual also says to charge the battery only between 0°C and 40°C. For a Canadian winter, plan to store and charge the bike indoors, and ask us or Tesway before you plan a season of riding below freezing.
  • Passengers: Tesway’s X5/X7 AWD and X9 Ultra manuals say the bikes are “designed for regular country road use for a single person”, while Tesway sells a passenger seat and child safety handrails for the X5 and X7 models and puts a rear seat with a backrest in the X7 Pro New’s box. Ask us or Tesway before you carry anyone, keep rider, passenger and cargo within the bike’s maximum payload, check your province’s passenger rules and put a helmet on everyone aboard.
  • Hard riding: The X9 Ultra’s manual: “Using your E-bike for extreme maneuvers, such as extreme off-road use, jumping, or carrying an excessive load will damage the E-bike and could cause serious injury.”

Are Tesway E-Bikes Legal on Canadian Roads?

No, not as e-bikes. Canada has had no federal e-bike definition since the federal power-assisted-bicycle definition was repealed effective February 4, 2021, so e-bike rules are provincial, and they converge on a 500W motor and 32 km/h of assisted speed (Nova Scotia’s 30 km/h ended on 19 October 2026). Tesway rates all four above 500W, so none is a power-assisted bicycle in any province. Treat them as off-road machines: private land, off-road trails that permit them, and land you have permission to ride. What riding one on a public road would require differs by province, so check yours first in our Canadian e-bike law guide, or browse our 500W e-bikes for roads and bike lanes. Tesway’s X7 AWD FAQ says riders can adjust the assist or speed settings to comply with local rules; a setting does not change the rating Tesway gives the motors.

Tesway Accessories: What Fits Which Bike

These are Tesway’s own accessories, each with the bikes Tesway lists it for, and with prices and stock live from the store.

  • Warranty: Tesway’s 2-year limited warranty covers its e-bikes; its policy lists “Any products sold by Tesway that is not an ebike” among the things it does not cover. If a part arrives damaged, defective or not as described, contact us with photos: we cover the return of a wrong or not-as-described item, with no restocking fee.
  • Shipping: Free Canada-wide shipping. We process orders within 1–3 business days, and parts and accessories can take up to 4 weeks to arrive; tracking comes by email. No delivery to P.O. boxes or remote communities.

Earlier Tesway Models

Tesway Canada no longer lists these models, so their Zeus pages are closed for orders and stay up for owners and for anyone comparing, each pointing to what to ride instead.

  • Tesway X5 Pro: the step-through X7 PRO; Tesway Canada no longer lists it. Ride the X7 Pro New or the step-through X5 AWD instead.
  • Tesway X7 Pro (earlier folding model): Tesway replaced it with the non-folding X7 Pro New.
  • Tesway X7 Pro Foldable: no longer sold in Canada. Ride the non-folding X7 Pro New or the dual-motor X7 AWD instead.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tesway E-Bikes

Where can I buy a Tesway e-bike in Canada?

Here, online: each current Tesway bike here ships free from Canada to all 10 provinces (Tesway’s FAQ names its warehouses in Vancouver and Toronto). We process your order within 1–3 business days, and Tesway’s shipping policy gives 3–7 business days for in-stock bikes after that, with tracking by email; there is no delivery to Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut or P.O. boxes. The 4 current models run from $2,099 to $2,999 CAD. Questions before you buy: 1-866-938-7580.

Is Tesway a good e-bike brand?

Judge it on what Tesway puts in writing and on what happens after you buy. In writing: a Canadian warranty covering manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for two years from the day you receive the bike, and UL 2849 (electrical system) and UL 2271 (battery) certification claimed on its pages for the X5 AWD, X7 AWD and X9 Ultra, on its US page only for the X7 Pro New. After you buy from us: we file and follow every warranty claim with Tesway, your first month of Zeus Care is included, and unused, unopened bikes can come back within 15 days of delivery (15% restocking fee).

What is the difference between the Tesway X5 AWD and X7 AWD?

The frame. Both carry the same two hub motors (2,000W rated, 3,600W peak, 200 N·m per Tesway), the same 52V 60Ah battery (about 3,120 Wh) and the same 181 kg (400 lb) payload. The X7 AWD is step-over, with a 62 cm standing height on Tesway’s size chart; the X5 AWD is step-through, at 58 cm, so it is easier to mount. The X7 AWD comes in Blue, Black, Camouflage or Green, the X5 AWD in Black, Green or Grey. Today: X7 AWD $2,899, X5 AWD $2,999.

Single motor or AWD: which Tesway is better on hills?

Two motors put drive at both wheels and double the torque: Tesway rates the X7 AWD and X5 AWD at 200 N·m together and the X9 Ultra at 240 N·m, against 100 N·m for the single-motor X7 Pro New, and it says all-wheel drive improves “traction and control on sand, gravel, and wet surfaces”. One motor costs less ($2,099 against $2,899 for the X7 AWD) and comes with a rear seat in the box. Our view: for steep or loose climbs, an AWD; for mostly paved riding with some hills, the X7 Pro New’s 1,000W hub (2,000W peak).

Should I buy the Tesway X7 AWD or the X9 Ultra?

The X7 AWD for distance, the X9 Ultra for trails. The X7 AWD carries the bigger battery, 52V 60Ah or about 3,120 Wh against the X9 Ultra’s 60V 30Ah or about 1,800 Wh, and Tesway estimates up to 320 km for it under ideal conditions. The X9 Ultra has two 1,200W motors (2,000W peak each), 240 N·m, a 120 mm dual-crown fork with dual rear shocks, 26×4.0 tires and 70 km/h in Tesway’s figures, against the X7 AWD’s 20×4.0 tires, rear spring and about 60 km/h. Today: X7 AWD $2,899, X9 Ultra $2,999.

How fast do Tesway e-bikes go?

By Tesway’s figures: about 60 km/h for the X7 AWD and X5 AWD, 52 km/h for the X7 Pro New and 70 km/h for the X9 Ultra. Those speeds belong on private land and trails that permit them: Tesway rates all four above 500W, so none is a power-assisted bicycle in any province. Tesway’s X7 AWD FAQ says riders can adjust the assist or speed settings; a setting does not change the rating Tesway gives the motors.

How far does a Tesway go on one charge?

Tesway estimates up to 320 km for the X7 AWD, X5 AWD and X7 Pro New, each with a 60Ah battery, and its X7 AWD FAQ adds “under ideal conditions”. For the X9 Ultra (60V 30Ah, about 1,800 Wh), its spec tab gives 113 km on one motor and 193 km on two, and its feature copy 113–193 km on one motor and 80–113 km on two. Plan on less: rider weight, speed, assist level, hills and cold all cut range. Tesway’s 60Ah spare battery is in the accessories above.

How much does a Tesway e-bike weigh?

Tesway lists 54 kg (119 lb) for the X7 AWD and X5 AWD; 50 kg (110 lb) for the X7 Pro New in its spec tab and 48 kg on its size chart; and 53 kg for the X9 Ultra, 48 kg in a second spec list. These are heavy bikes: if you must lift one often, or live above ground level without an elevator, tell us before you order.

What warranty comes with a Tesway in Canada?

Tesway’s 2-year limited warranty, backed by Tesway in full: manufacturing defects in material or workmanship, for two years from the day you receive the bike. While Tesway’s offer runs, all four bikes also come with Tesway’s free 2-year warranty on the motor, battery and frame, and the X7 Pro New with a free 2-year Zeus Care plan. We file and follow every claim for you; shipping damage has to be reported within 14 days of delivery, with dated photos. Tesway’s accessories are not covered by its e-bike warranty.

Can a Tesway carry a passenger or a child?

Tesway sells a passenger seat (back seat, backrest and rear footpegs) and child safety handrails for ages 5 to 10 for the X5 AWD and X7 AWD, though its X5/X7 AWD manual says those bikes are “designed for regular country road use for a single person”; the X7 Pro New comes with a rear seat and backrest in its box. Ask us or Tesway before you carry anyone, keep rider, passenger and cargo within the bike’s maximum payload (181 kg on the AWDs, 160 kg on the X7 Pro New), check your province’s passenger rules and put a helmet on everyone aboard.

Which Tesway accessories fit my bike?

By Tesway’s own lists, at Zeus: the passenger seat, the child safety handrail fence, the guardrail hanger and the fence-and-hanger set fit the X5 AWD, X7 AWD and X7 Pro New; the foldable platform fits all four, the X9 Ultra included; and the front basket fits the X7 Pro New only. The 60Ah spare battery is for original Tesway e-bikes and not for the X9 Ultra, which runs a 60V 30Ah pack; for an X5 AWD or X7 AWD, call us to confirm the fit. Tesway’s lists call the X7 Pro New the X7 PRO.

Are Tesway e-bikes legal in Canada?

Not as e-bikes on public roads. Tesway rates all four above 500W: 2,000W rated together on the X7 AWD and X5 AWD, 1,000W on the X7 Pro New and two 1,200W motors on the X9 Ultra, so none is a power-assisted bicycle in any province. Treat them as off-road machines, and check your province in our e-bike law guide before any road use.

Can I ride a Tesway off-road?

Off-road is where the rules put them: private land, off-road trails that permit them, and land you have permission to ride. Our Legal Access Atlas found that no park, conservation area, trail association or transit agency in it takes a bike over 500W or with two motors (rules read 28 September 2026), so check the trail operator’s own page first. Tesway’s X9 Ultra manual adds a limit: “Using your E-bike for extreme maneuvers, such as extreme off-road use, jumping, or carrying an excessive load will damage the E-bike and could cause serious injury.” Of the four, the X9 Ultra is Tesway’s full-suspension trail bike.
