A Line in the Sand: Why Zeus eBikes Is Refocusing Our Discount Program
At Zeus eBikes, we believe that every business decision should reflect our values.
After careful consideration, we have made a deliberate shift in how we handle additional discount coupons.
Moving forward, coupon-based discounts beyond our standard pricing will be reserved exclusively for:
- Active military personnel
- Veterans
- Immediate family members of military and veterans
- Graduates of an addiction treatment (rehab) program
- People with a year or more in recovery, confirmed by a counsellor, treatment program or peer-support group
Discount amounts will be product-based — not individually negotiated — and may range from $50 to $1,000 depending on the model.
The discount comes off sale prices too. It does not combine with free-gift offers.
Why We Chose This Path
We operate in an industry where constant discounting has become normal.
Coupons. Flash sales. Artificial price inflation followed by dramatic markdowns.
That approach may create short-term spikes — but it erodes trust over time.
We do not want to train customers to wait for codes.
We want to earn loyalty through quality, durability, and service.
Honoring Service — Not Symbolically, But Meaningfully
Active military members and veterans have committed themselves to something far greater than business transactions.
Their families carry that responsibility as well.
Offering meaningful savings to those who serve is not a marketing tactic for us. It is a reflection of respect.
Supporting Rehabilitation and Second Chances
Completing a treatment program, or reaching a year or more in recovery, represents discipline, accountability, and strength.
Mobility is freedom.
An electric bike can represent independence, employment access, mental clarity, and forward momentum.
If someone has rebuilt their life, we believe that deserves tangible support.
Proof is required: a certificate of completion from the program, or a letter from your counsellor, treatment program or peer-support group confirming a year or more in recovery. The discount is determined by product — not by individual negotiation.
Why Not Offer Coupons to Everyone?
Because stability matters.
Because fairness matters.
Because sustainable pricing allows us to:
- Maintain strong warranty support
- Provide real after-sale service
- Invest in long-term product quality
- Avoid artificial price inflation cycles
We would rather offer consistent value to all customers than manipulate perception through rotating discount codes.
