Samebike 20LVXD30‑II: a 20-Inch Folding E-Bike That Folds Frame and Bars to 90 × 36 × 70 cm

The Samebike 20LVXD30‑II is a 20-inch folding e-bike: the frame and the handlebars fold together, and Samebike Canada lists the folded size as 0.9 × 0.36 × 0.7 m. It runs a 350 W motor (35+ N·m) on a removable 48 V 10.4 Ah battery (499 Wh), with a 32 km/h top speed, 35–70 km of range, a Shimano 7-speed, mechanical disc brakes, a front suspension fork and a sprung seat tube, and it weighs 25 kg (55.1 lb).

Samebike prints its fit in two charts. Samebike Canada’s says riders 5′1″–6′3″ with a 31.5–37.4″ saddle; the chart on Samebike’s global page says 5′3″–6′3″. The Canadian page’s Size & Fit pop-up adds eleven frame measurements, including a 30″ standover and a 41.5″ wheelbase. This page has all of them, plus the folded size, so you can check the bike against your height and your car or closet before you order.

Who it suits: riders from about 5′1″ to 6′3″ who need a bike that folds into a car trunk, an RV or a condo storage room, and who ride pavement and packed paths. At 25 kg it is the lightest of the seven Samebike bikes compared below.

⚠️ Canadian legal note

Canada’s federal e-bike definition was repealed in 2021, and the rules are now provincial: they converge on a motor of 500 W or less, assistance that stops at 32 km/h (Nova Scotia’s 30 km/h ended on 19 October 2026) and working pedals. Provinces also set their own ages, helmet rules and throttle rules.

Samebike Canada lists the 20LVXD30‑II at 350 W with a 32 km/h default speed, inside those limits; its global and UK pages list the European version at 250 W and 25 km/h. Its French page adds that the European version’s 25 km/h default can be unlocked “to reach 35KM/H or higher” with instructions from customer service. A bike that assists past 32 km/h is outside the limits the provincial rules converge on; call us at 1-866-938-7580 and we will tell you how the unit we ship is set. Some provinces add ages, helmets and throttle rules of their own. Canadian e-bike laws by province →

Samebike 20LVXD30‑II Size Chart: Rider Height, Seat Height and Every Dimension

Samebike publishes the 20LVXD30-II’s fit in three places on its Canadian page: a Size & Fit chart (an image with four measurements), a Size & Fit pop-up with eleven, and the Specification tab. We read them on 19 October 2026 with Samebike’s global, UK, German and French pages. The chart and the pop-up round the seat height 0.3″ apart; we print both.

Seat height (ground to the top of the saddle): 31.5–37.4″ (80–95 cm) on the chart; the pop-up lists a 31.2″ minimum and a 37.1″ maximum. Standover: 30″ (76.2 cm).

How to Check the Fit Before You Order

  • Go by the seat range, not only the height range. Samebike’s rider-height range is guidance; whether your leg works on the bike depends on the saddle. A review of the research on saddle height found the methods “varied and not well established” and suggested setting the saddle so the knee is bent 25–30° at the bottom of the pedal stroke (Bini, Hume and Croft, Sports Medicine, 2011; the paper →).
  • Measure your inseam (floor to crotch, in socks, standing against a wall) and send it to us with your height. We will check it against Samebike’s 31.2–37.4″ seat figures before you order: 1-866-938-7580.
  • Check where it will live folded. Samebike lists the folded size as 0.9 × 0.36 × 0.7 m; measure your trunk, closet or RV bay against it, and remember it weighs 25 kg.
  • Add up the load. Samebike Canada’s maximum is 120 kg, rider plus cargo. Heavier riders should look at the CY20 or RS-A02 Pro, both rated 150 kg by Samebike Canada.

Where Samebike’s Own Figures Differ

Samebike sells the 20LVXD30‑II on five of its storefronts. These figures differ between them, and we print each with where it appears. Call us and we will confirm the figure that matters to you against the unit we ship.

Key Features

  • Folds frame and handlebars together — Samebike calls it “Double Foldable”: “fold the frame and handlebars simultaneously”. Folded, it is 0.9 × 0.36 × 0.7 m. Folding e-bikes in Canada →
  • 350 W motor, 35+ N·m — five levels of pedal assist and a 32 km/h default top speed (Samebike Canada).
  • Removable 48 V 10.4 Ah battery — Samebike says its “weak current protection prevents deep discharge”, and rates it up to 70 km in pedal-assist level 1 (“Tested by a 75KG rider on a flat road”); 35–70 km overall, 4–6 hours to charge. Battery care in the cold →
  • Front suspension fork and a sprung seat tube — a “double-shoulder front fork” up front and “a seat spring in the rear”, in Samebike’s words.
  • Mechanical disc brakes front and rear and a Shimano 7-speed.
  • 20 × 1.95″ tires — a city tire, not a fat tire.
  • Lights, rack and phone holder — an integrated front light powered by the main battery, a taillight, a rear rack, and a phone holder beside the LCD that shows battery, speed and distance.
  • 6061 aviation aluminum frame, in Samebike’s wording; adjustable handlebar.

The Honest Take: What to Know Before You Buy

  1. Two charts, two minimum heights. Samebike Canada says 5′1″; the chart on its global page says 5′3″. If you are under about 5′3″, send us your inseam: the lowest seat setting is 31.2″ on the pop-up and 31.5″ on the chart, and the XD26-II’s goes down to 27.5″.
  2. 120 kg is at the low end of our Samebike line. Samebike Canada lists 120 kg for this bike and the LOTDM200-II, 150 kg for the CY20, RS-A01 Pro-T and RS-A02 Pro. Samebike’s UK page says 150 kg for the 20LVXD30‑II; plan on Samebike Canada’s 120 kg.
  3. What owners say needs care. The AI-selected summary of Samebike’s own reviews praises the build and value, and notes brake efficiency, confusing assembly manuals and range below the advertised figure; Samebike’s UK summary adds that it is heavy and “difficult to fold alone”.

If those fit how you live (a folding bike for a car, RV or condo, city riding up to 32 km/h), the 20LVXD30‑II is the lightest of the Samebike bikes compared on this page.

Warranty and Zeus Care

Your Samebike 20LVXD30-II is backed by Samebike in full, on Samebike Canada’s own published terms (read 19 October 2026): the frame for 3 years, and batteries, motors and other accessories for 1 year, for the original owner, from the day the original owner receives the bike. Samebike describes the battery cover as a 1-year prorated warranty, and a frame claim covers a replacement frame only (labour to move parts across is not included). Free parts that come with the bike are not covered, and neither is a stolen bike. Samebike’s product page for this bike also prints “12 Months Warranty” (“our manufacturer’s 12 months warranty for the original owner against all manufacturing defects”); its warranty policy is the longer of the two for the frame.

Not covered, in Samebike’s words: damage from accident, abuse, misuse or abnormal use, improper storage, exposure to liquid or chemicals, ordinary wear and tear, cosmetic damage, and damage from assembly, maintenance or repair that varies from Samebike’s instructions.

Zeus handles the claim with Samebike for you, and your first month of Zeus Care is included: we diagnose the problem, file the claim and follow it up, and assembly walkthroughs by phone or video are part of it. Zeus Care plans continue that service for $119 (1 year), $229 (2 years), $339 (3 years) or $599 (5 years); Zeus Care is a service, not a warranty, and does not add coverage (prices in CAD, October 2026).
