West Biking Long + Short Grips: 130 mm and 94 mm, Lock Rings at Both Ends, 22.2 mm Bore
This set is not two matching grips. It is one long grip (130 mm) and one short grip (94 mm), so the short one can sit beside a twist shifter or other controls on a crowded side of the bar. In the supplier’s words, the grips are “designed as long and short to better fit shifters or twist grips”, and its slide labels the short grip “Ideal when there are shifters or electronic switches on the handlebar”. Each grip has an aluminum lock ring at both ends and a 22.2 mm bore. This is the black version, which the supplier calls the “Leather Version” and lists as microfiber leather.
We have not tested a pair yet. The figures on this page come from the supplier’s listing and its photos, which we saved on 17 October 2026; when something is the supplier’s claim, we say so.

What You Get
- One long grip and one short grip. 130 mm and 94 mm long, per the supplier’s size sheet for this version (another of its slides gives the short grip as 95 mm). Both are 55 mm across the palm wing and 33 mm across the round part.
- Lock rings at both ends. Aluminum alloy rings on each grip; the supplier describes “dual-side locking with hex screws”.
- Bar-end plugs. The supplier’s parts list names a hard plastic plug (its attributes say PVC), and its steps include inserting one on each side.
- A microfiber cover. The supplier lists this version’s material as “Microfiber Leather + Aluminum Alloy Lock Ring + Hard Plastic Plug”. We have not confirmed whether the cover is genuine leather or a synthetic.
- About 209 g a pair. Per the supplier’s sheet for this version; the listing’s parameter table gives 342 g.

The Honest Take
- We have not tested them. No grip, wear or weather test by us, and we have no independent test results for them.
- “Leather” is the supplier’s word. We have not confirmed whether the microfiber cover is genuine leather or a synthetic, so we do not call it leather ourselves.
- The short grip is for a crowded side of the bar, but measure first. The 94 mm grip and your shifter, throttle or display controls all need to fit on the bar. We do not have a list of e-bikes these fit.
- Not in place of a full twist-grip throttle. That kind of throttle turns as part of the grip, and these clamp to the bar with lock rings.
- The supplier’s comfort, health and durability claims are not repeated here, because nothing we have shows how they were tested.

Who It Suits, and Who Should Skip It
It suits riders with a 22.2 mm handlebar whose shifter or controls take up room on one side, and who want a winged grip on both sides. Skip it if your bike has a full twist-grip throttle on the side you want to change, or if your bar is a different size. Frequently Asked Questions
Will they fit my e-bike?
They are made for a 22.2 mm handlebar, the bar size the supplier gives. The long grip is 130 mm and the short grip 94 mm, so measure the clear bar on each side, past your brake lever, shifter, throttle and display controls; the short grip is the one meant for the crowded side. We do not have a list of e-bikes they fit. If you are unsure, call 1-866-938-7580 with your bike’s model before you order.
Do they work with a twist-grip throttle?
Not in place of a full twist-grip throttle. That kind of throttle turns as part of the grip, and these grips clamp to the bar with lock rings, so on such a bike they suit the other side only. The supplier designed the short grip to sit beside twist controls: the grips are “designed as long and short to better fit shifters or twist grips”, in its words. A half-twist throttle also takes up bar space, so whether the 94 mm grip fits beside yours depends on how much bar is left. Measure before you order.
Can I fit them myself?
Yes, in the supplier’s four steps: slide the grip onto the bar, tighten the locks at both ends, insert the plug, then do the other side the same way. Its step says to tighten the locks with a screwdriver, while its slides mention hex screws and its photo shows a folding multi-tool, so have a screwdriver and hex keys ready. A bike shop can also fit them.
Can I return them?
Yes, if they are unused and unopened: returns are accepted within 15 days of delivery, less a 15% restocking fee, and you pay the return shipping.
