The West Biking Winter Leg Covers are a pair of covers, 55–65 cm long, that run from above the knee down the shin, in brown camo or grey camo. West Biking sells them as winter leg warmers and calls them windproof. We have not ridden in them yet, so this page says plainly which details come from the supplier and which are still unconfirmed.

What You Get

• A pair. One cover for each leg, in your choice of Brown or Grey, both camo patterns.
• 55–65 cm of coverage. The listing gives the length as a range of 55–65 cm, and calls the covers unisex.
• A strap and a long back flap. The supplier’s back-view photo shows a wide strap near the top and a long flap down the back of the cover. The listing does not name the fastening, so we do not.
• Sold for the cold. The supplier lists them as a winter leg gaiter and names cycling, climbing and skiing as uses.

Fitting Them

The listing gives a length and no circumference or size chart. Our suggestion: measure from just above your knee down your shin and compare it with 55–65 cm. 1. We have not tested them. No warmth, wind or durability test by us yet. “Windproof” is the supplier’s word.
2. They are not impact protection. The supplier’s title calls them a knee pad protector, but we have no padding specification, impact test or certification, so we do not sell them as protective gear. If you want knee protection for trail riding, buy a certified pad for that job.
3. The fibre content is not confirmed. The supplier’s listing names two different materials and gives no percentages. We will not guess.
