Taubik Tour S
Taubik Tour S: Step-Through Comfort on 26×4″ Kenda Fat Tires, With a 500W Bafang Motor and 80 Nm
The Taubik Tour S is a step-through fat-tire e-bike from Taubik, a Canadian-owned e-bike company. Taubik says it is “designed for riders who value comfort, stability, and effortless performance”, and that its low step-through frame “makes getting on and off easy and natural, whether you’re commuting, running errands, or heading out for a relaxed ride.”
Taubik lists a 500W Bafang motor with 80 Nm, a 48V/15Ah Samsung battery “Certified in accordance with UL 2271”, a dual torque/cadence sensor, 26×4″ Kenda Juggernaut tires, an RST Guide fork with 75 mm of travel and Zoom hydraulic brakes with 180 mm rotors, plus full front and rear fenders and a rear cargo rack with a brake light. It assists to 32 km/h, Taubik rates the range at up to 100 km, and Taubik’s Tour S manual and brochure show a thumb throttle.
At Zeus, the Tour S costs $100 more than the single-battery Blackburn 275T (prices in CAD, October 2026, checked against our listings on 28 October). For that, Taubik’s two product pages show 80 Nm of torque against 70, tires 4″ wide against 2.35″, and fenders and a rear rack with a brake light, which the Blackburn page does not list.

Before You Order: The Honest Trade-Offs
- Road rules. A 500W motor, assist to 32 km/h and working pedals: what Canada’s provincial e-bike rules converge on (Newfoundland and Labrador, which has no e-bike rule, reads two ways). Throttle and age rules differ by province, so check yours before riding on public roads (details in the questions below).
- Cold. Taubik’s Tour S manual says: “This equipment is not intended to be used at ambient temperatures less than 0°C or above ambient temperatures of 40°C.” If you plan to ride below freezing, call us first.
- Load. Taubik’s page lists a 286 lb weight capacity; the Tour S manual gives a maximum load of 120 kg (about 265 lb). Plan around 120 kg for you plus everything you carry: a weight limit is normally read as total payload, as our US sister store, RedTail eBikes, explains in its guide to what an e-bike weight limit includes.
- Weight. 77 lb on Taubik’s page: easy to step onto, heavy to lift onto a car rack or up stairs.
- Roads and paths. The manual says the bike is “designed to be used on a regular road by a single person” and that extreme off-road use, jumping or carrying excessive load will damage it and could cause serious injury.
- Warranty and payment. Taubik covers the frame for 2 years and the electrical parts for 1 year, your first month of Zeus Care is included, and financing options appear at checkout. How to finance an e-bike in Canada →
Key Features
- Dual sensor pedal assist. Choose cadence mode for “smooth, relaxed cruising with consistent assistance” or torque mode for “a more natural, responsive feel that mirrors traditional cycling”, switched “with the press of a button”. Torque and cadence sensors, explained →
- Low step-through frame. Taubik says the low standover height “adds confidence, comfort, and accessibility” when you start a ride, stop on uneven ground or load up for a day out.
- Full-coverage front and rear fenders. Designed “to keep water, mud, and debris off you and your gear”.
- Adjustable comfort-fit handlebars. A Promax MA-579 adjustable stem lets you set handlebar height and reach for a more upright riding position.
- Rear cargo rack with brake light. For gear, groceries or camping essentials; the built-in brake light “adds visibility when slowing down”.
- 26×4″ Kenda Juggernaut tires on 26″ double-walled rims. Taubik pictures the Tour S on “campground roads, paved trails, or packed gravel”.
- Thumb throttle. Shown in Taubik’s Tour S manual and brochure. The manual: “If you don’t want to use pedal power, you can also use the throttle to control the speed.” Pedal assist vs throttle →
- Shimano 8-speed. An Acera RD-M3020 derailleur with a CS-HG200-8 cassette.
- Colour LCD display and integrated lights. A colour LCD screen, a headlight and a taillight.

Each figure is from Taubik’s product page for that bike, read 28 October 2026; both bikes’ manuals give a 120 kg maximum load. Zeus prices checked 28 October 2026. RedTail eBikes, “Fat Tire vs Regular Tire eBike: The Measured Answer”, read 28 October 2026.
Fat or narrow tires? On flat ground, the extra energy a fat tire costs comes almost entirely from the tire. At about 32 km/h, RedTail eBikes puts about 93% of the gap between a good fat tire and a fast narrow one on the tire itself and the frontal area it adds, and about 7% on the extra weight. Fat tires pay that back in grip and float on loose ground; narrow tires are easier to lift, park and pedal. RedTail’s fat vs regular tire measurements →

Frequently Asked Questions
What riders ask about the Tour S
Is the Taubik Tour S any good? Are there reviews?
No customer has reviewed the Tour S on this page yet, and we have not published a ride test of it. Everything Taubik publishes about it is on this page. For a straight answer on whether it suits how you ride, call us at 1-866-938-7580.
How fast does the Tour S go?
Taubik lists 32 km/h. The Tour S manual gives five assist levels at 12, 16, 21, 26 and 32 km/h, plus a walk mode. Speed rules in Canada →
What battery does it use, and can I get a spare or a charger?
A removable 48V/15Ah Samsung battery, “Certified in accordance with UL 2271” on Taubik’s page. The manual says it charges in 6–8 hours on the 48V 3A charger, and only between 0 °C and 40 °C. For a spare battery or a replacement charger, call us at 1-866-938-7580.
How far does it go on a charge?
Taubik rates the Tour S at up to 100 km. Taubik’s FAQ says that figure was measured with a 160 lb rider on flat ground, no cargo, pedal-assist level 1 and moderate temperatures, so more assist, the throttle, hills, cargo and cold all shorten it. Our e-bike battery guide →
How much weight can it carry, and how heavy is it?
Taubik’s page lists a 286 lb weight capacity, and the Tour S manual gives a maximum load of 120 kg (about 265 lb). Plan around 120 kg for you plus everything you carry. The rear rack is rated for 25 kg. The bike weighs 77 lb. E-bikes for heavier riders →
Will the Tour S fit me?
Taubik lists a 17.5″ frame size and a low step-through frame, and it does not publish a rider-height range for the Tour S. Call us at 1-866-938-7580 with your height and inseam and we will check them against Taubik’s figures.
Where are Taubik bikes made, and who makes them?
Taubik describes itself as “a proudly Canadian-owned electric bike company”. Its product pages, manuals and policies that we read do not say where the bikes are manufactured, so we will not guess: ask us and we will tell you what Taubik tells us. All Taubik e-bikes at Zeus →
Is there a manual, and how does it arrive?
Taubik posts the Tour S manual in English and French: Tour S manual (PDF) → It says the bike arrives about 75% assembled, with the pedals, seat, front wheel and sometimes the handlebar loosened or removed, and the charger, pedals and small parts in the carton. It recommends two people for assembly. Your first month of Zeus Care includes assembly walkthroughs by phone, email or video: call 1-866-938-7580 before your first ride. Taubik’s warranty conditions include proper assembly and a pre-delivery inspection: ask us how that is handled for your order.
What comes with it, and can I get accessories or parts?
It comes equipped: full front and rear fenders, a rear rack rated 25 kg with a built-in brake light, a headlight and a kickstand, with the charger in the carton and a key for the battery lock. Taubik’s warranty treats tires, brake pads, chains, cassettes, derailleurs and shifters as wear parts, so plan on replacing those over time. For parts and add-ons, browse our e-bike accessories → or call us at 1-866-938-7580.
Also worth knowing
Does the Tour S have a torque sensor and a throttle?
Yes. Taubik’s page lists a dual torque/cadence sensor: cadence mode for relaxed cruising, torque mode for a feel closer to ordinary cycling, switched with a button. Taubik’s Tour S manual and brochure show a thumb throttle, which the manual says you can use to control the speed if you don’t want to pedal. Pedal assist vs throttle, explained →
Is the Tour S legal on Canadian roads?
Canada has had no federal e-bike definition since the federal power-assisted-bicycle definition was repealed effective February 4, 2021. E-bike rules are provincial, and they converge on a 500W motor, 32 km/h of assisted speed and working pedals (Newfoundland and Labrador, which has no e-bike rule, reads two ways). The Tour S has a 500W motor, a 32 km/h maximum in Taubik’s spec table and manual, and working pedals. Throttle and age rules differ: British Columbia, for one, sets conditions on how a throttle engages on its standard e-bikes, and Québec requires a moped licence for riders aged 14 to 17. Check the rules in your province and municipality before public-road use. Our Canadian e-bike law guide →
Can I ride it in winter?
Taubik’s Tour S manual says: “This equipment is not intended to be used at ambient temperatures less than 0°C or above ambient temperatures of 40°C”, and to charge the battery only between 0 °C and 40 °C. Taubik’s warranty excludes damage from prolonged exposure to rain, snow or moisture, storage in extreme cold and corrosion from salt. If you plan to ride below freezing, call us before you order. Our winter e-bike guide →
What warranty does it come with?
Taubik’s published warranty covers the frame for 2 years and the electrical components (motor, battery, controller, display and wiring) for 1 year, from the original retail purchase date, for the original purchaser. It excludes wear parts such as tires, brake pads and rotors, chains, cassettes, derailleurs and shifters (unless defective at delivery), and damage from overloading, unauthorized modifications, environmental exposure or missed maintenance; labour is not covered unless Taubik approves it in writing. Your first month of Zeus Care is included: we diagnose the problem, file the claim with Taubik and follow it up. Zeus Care plans run $119 for 1 year, $229 for 2, $339 for 3 and $599 for 5; they are a service, not added parts coverage. Returns are 15 days from delivery on unused, unopened items, with a 15% restocking fee and return shipping paid by you. Warranty & Zeus Care →
