Eunorau ICEX 1.0: A 2,000W Stand-Up Electric Snow Scooter With Twin Skis and a Track

The Eunorau ICEX 1.0 is a foldable, stand-up electric snow scooter: two steering skis up front, a caterpillar track at the back, a 52V 2,000W brushless motor and a 52V 23.4Ah battery. Eunorau rates it at 25 km/h and 40–60 km per charge, and it weighs 50 kg.

Shoppers also know it as the SLED XD-1500 Pro: Eunorau’s Canadian store still files the ICEX 1.0 at /products/sled-xd-1500pro, under item code XD1500PSDCTBK1US. It is the same machine.

It is a snow vehicle under provincial law, and that decides where you can ride it. On land you occupy, such as your own property, Ontario waives the permit, the insurance and the driver’s helmet rule; take it anywhere else and it needs all three, like any snowmobile. The rules are in the box below.

Motor
52V 2,000W brushless
Top speed
25 km/h (15.6 mph)
Range
40–60 km per charge*
Battery
52V 23.4Ah (1,216.8 Wh†)
Weight
50 kg (110.2 lb)
Maximum load
120 kg (265 lb)
Folded size
200 × 76 × 55 cm
Controls
Thumb throttle, reverse button, NFC card start

From Eunorau Canada’s ICEX 1.0 page, read 6 November 2026. *Eunorau’s figure: it says actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, snow conditions, temperature, speed and riding style. †Our arithmetic: 52 V × 23.4 Ah.

⚠️ Canadian Legal Note: a snow vehicle, not an e-bike

A motor rated 500 W or less, assistance that stops at 32 km/h and working pedals are the core the provincial e-bike rules converge on (our Canadian e-bike law guide). The ICEX has a 2,000 W motor and no pedals, so none of that applies to it.

Ontario (Motorized Snow Vehicles Act): built to run on snow, the ICEX is a “motorized snow vehicle” (s. 1). It needs a registration permit, motor vehicle liability insurance and a helmet (ss. 2(1), 12, 20); a trail permit on prescribed trails (s. 2.1); and a driver’s licence or a motorized snow vehicle operator’s licence to drive along or across a highway (16 or older) or on a trail run by a recreational organization for snow vehicles (12 or older) (ss. 1, 9). On land occupied by its owner, the driver needs no permit, trail permit, insurance or helmet, but anyone riding on it or on a sled it tows still wears a helmet (ss. 2(1), 2.1(1), 12(5), 20).

Québec (Québec’s off-road vehicle rules): Québec counts snowmobiles and any motorized vehicle designed mainly for snow, ice and other rough ground as off-road vehicles. Riders on a trail, a road, public land or municipal land must be 16 or older with a driver’s licence (at 16 or 17, also a training certificate). Riders wear a helmet with a visor, or goggles, at all times, and every off-road vehicle owner needs at least $1,000,000 in liability insurance. Riding on private property without the owner’s or tenant’s permission is fined.

Other provinces and territories set their own rules: check yours before you ride anywhere but land you own or occupy. Read 6 November 2026.

Watch a review

YouTube reviewer Dustin Abbott published an 18-minute review, “Eunorau ICEX 1.0 Electric Snow Scooter Review | A Worthy Winter Toy?”, on 30 March 2026. Eunorau features it on its own ICEX page.

Key features

  • Twin steering skis, a caterpillar track and spring suspension at both ends — Eunorau calls it “Dual Sleds with Full Suspension”: two skis up front, a caterpillar track at the back, and front and rear spring suspension that Eunorau says absorbs shocks on rough, snowy ground.
  • 52V 2,000W brushless motor with a thumb throttle — set speed with your thumb, up to Eunorau’s 25 km/h (15.6 mph) top speed.
  • Reverse at the press of a button — Eunorau fits a button-operated reverse gear, so you can back out of a drift or a tight spot instead of dragging 50 kg around by hand.
  • Hydraulic brakes — Eunorau lists hydraulic brakes for the ICEX.
  • SecureTap NFC card start and an SW-M808X colour display — tap the NFC card on the display to activate it; Eunorau says the card adds a layer of security against theft. The colour display adds Bluetooth.
  • Lights, turn signals and a horn — a quad-LED headlight, a brake light, turn signals and an electronic horn.
  • Folds with a pull-and-push lever and a folding hook — folded, it measures 200 × 76 × 55 cm.
  • 52V 23.4Ah battery, 3.0 A smart charger, 4–8 hours to charge — Eunorau adds that its dual charging ports give double-speed charging. IPX4 means splash resistance; Eunorau says it is not designed for submersion.

The honest take: what we would change

  1. It is a snow vehicle in law, not a toy. In Ontario, the moment it leaves land its owner occupies, it needs a registration permit, liability insurance and a helmet. In Québec, every owner needs at least $1,000,000 in liability insurance, and riders on trails, roads and public land must be 16 or older with a licence. Budget for that before you buy.
  2. 50 kg and 2 m long, even folded. Folded, it is 200 × 76 × 55 cm and 110 lb. We would plan on two people to lift it into a truck, and measure your vehicle before you order.
  3. Eunorau publishes less than we would like. Its Canadian manuals page lists no ICEX manual, its ICEX page and product record give no battery operating temperature (both read 6 November 2026), and both of its written Canadian warranty policies are worded for its electric bikes. The ICEX page itself lists a 2-year warranty.

Worth it if you have land, a cottage lot or a club trail pass and want a stand-up machine that folds, reverses and starts with a card. If you already own a Riding Times GT-series bike, the snow track kit gets you on snow for less (comparison below).

Who the ICEX 1.0 is for

  • Owners of land, a cottage lot or a hobby farm — Ontario waives the permit, insurance and driver’s helmet rules on land occupied by the owner, so this is where the ICEX is simplest to own. Ride the yard, the woodlot or the path to the lake.
  • Riders who want a light machine for packed trails — 50 kg and folding. In Ontario, register and insure it; a trail run by a recreational organization for snow vehicles takes a rider of 12 or older with a driver’s licence or a motorized snow vehicle operator’s licence, and a prescribed trail also takes a trail permit.
  • Riders who want to stand — Eunorau builds it as a stand-up machine: you ride it like a kick scooter, steering with the bar.

Who it’s not for: anyone who wants a winter commuter (it is not an e-bike: see our winter e-bike guide and winter e-bikes); riders who want a motorbike-style machine (the Riding Times Snow Track Kit converts a GT-series bike; see also our electric dirt bike guide); and loads over 120 kg, Eunorau’s limit.

Warranty, returns and recalls

Eunorau’s ICEX page lists a 2-year warranty, Eunorau’s own. Its two written Canadian warranty policies (Eunorau Canada’s store and Eunorau’s Canadian page) are worded for its electric bicycles and do not name the ICEX, so call us at 1-866-938-7580 before you order and we will tell you what Eunorau covers.

Your first month of Zeus Care is included: our Canadian team’s remote support, and we deal with Eunorau on any warranty claim for you. Zeus Care is a service, not added parts coverage. Plans at checkout: 1 year $119, 2 years $229, 3 years $339, 5 years $599.

Returns are 15 days from delivery on unused, unopened items, with a 15% restocking fee and return shipping paid by you.

No recall or safety alert names Eunorau, the ICEX 1.0 or its other name, the SLED XD-1500 Pro, in Health Canada’s recall database, Transport Canada’s motor vehicle safety recalls database (see Transport Canada’s defects and recalls page), the US CPSC’s recall database, the UK OPSS product-safety register or the EU Safety Gate, searched 6 November 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Eunorau ICEX 1.0 the same as the SLED XD-1500 Pro?

Yes. Eunorau’s Canadian store still files the ICEX 1.0 at /products/sled-xd-1500pro under item code XD1500PSDCTBK1US, and its US store uses the same item code. Same machine, newer name.

How does a snow scooter like the ICEX work?

You stand on the deck and steer with the handlebar. The two front skis steer, the rear caterpillar track grips the snow, and the 52V 2,000W motor drives it. A thumb throttle sets the speed, hydraulic brakes stop it, and a button puts it in reverse.

How fast does the ICEX 1.0 go, and how far on a charge?

Eunorau rates it at 25 km/h (15.6 mph) and 40–60 km (25–37 mi) per charge from its 52V 23.4Ah battery. Eunorau says actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, snow conditions, temperature, speed and riding style.

Do I need a licence, registration or insurance to ride it?

Off land its owner occupies, yes, and in Québec the insurance applies to every owner. In Ontario it is a motorized snow vehicle: a registration permit, liability insurance and a helmet are required, though not for a driver on land occupied by the owner, and riding along or across a highway (16 or older) or on a trail run by a recreational organization for snow vehicles (12 or older) takes a driver’s licence or a motorized snow vehicle operator’s licence. In Québec, riders on trails, roads and public land must be 16 or older with a driver’s licence, and owners need at least $1,000,000 in liability insurance. Other provinces set their own rules.

Are snow scooters allowed at ski resorts?

Only with the resort’s permission: a ski hill is someone else’s land. Québec fines riding on private property without the owner’s or tenant’s permission, and Ontario waives the permit, insurance and driver’s helmet rules only on land occupied by the vehicle’s owner. Ask the resort first.

Can kids ride the ICEX 1.0?

Eunorau sells it as an adult machine (its page title says “for Adult”), with a 120 kg maximum load. On trails, roads and public land in Québec, riders must be 16 or older; in Ontario, riding along or across a highway takes a rider of 16 or older, and riding a trail run by a recreational organization for snow vehicles a rider of 12 or older, each with a driver’s licence or a motorized snow vehicle operator’s licence.

How much does the ICEX 1.0 cost in Canada?

Our price is at the top of this page. For context, on 6 November 2026 Eunorau Canada listed the ICEX 1.0 at $4,699, down from $5,499, and the lowest-priced snow bundle at Zeus, the Riding Times GT54 Pro with the Snow Track Kit, was $2,898.

What warranty does it have?

Can I return it?

Returns are 15 days from delivery on unused, unopened items, with a 15% restocking fee and return shipping paid by you. Questions first? Call 1-866-938-7580.
