Compatibility & what else you may need
⚠️ Summit 2 only. Velotric lists this pack as compatible with the Velotric Summit 2. It is a different capacity from the Discover 3 pack (730.6 Wh) and is not interchangeable with other models.
Velotric requires a software update to use it. Velotric's listing states that to unlock the extended range performance, your Summit 2 controller software must be upgraded to the latest version. Do that through the Velotric app before you rely on the second pack for a long ride.
The charger and the battery cover are both separate parts, and we stock both: the Velotric charger for the Summit 2 and the Summit 2 Battery Cover. The bike itself is the Velotric Summit 2.

FAQ
Does this double my range?
It gives you a second full charge to carry. Velotric rates the Summit 2 at up to 153 km of pedal-assist range on one 801.6 Wh pack, so a charged spare roughly doubles the distance you can cover before you need a wall outlet. Real range depends on assist level, terrain, rider weight, tire pressure and temperature — cold Canadian riding takes a meaningful bite out of any lithium pack.
Do I have to update the bike first?
Velotric says yes — the Summit 2 controller software must be on the latest version to unlock the extended range performance. Update through the Velotric app before your first long ride on the spare.
Is a charger included?
No. Velotric sells the charger separately and we stock it. If you want to charge one pack while riding the other, you want a second charger, not just a second battery.
Will it fit my Summit 1, Nomad 2 or Discover 3?
No. Velotric lists this pack for the Summit 2 only. The Discover 3 takes a different 730.6 Wh pack, which we also stock. If you are unsure which bike you have, call 1-866-938-7580 and we will check it with you before you order.
Can I fly with it or ship it?
Airlines do not accept eBike batteries in carry-on or checked baggage — that is an industry-wide rule, not a Velotric one. We ship it to you by ground within Canada.
Is it safe?
It carries UL 2271 certification — the safety standard for eBike battery packs — and IPX7 water resistance. Being Velotric's own pack also means the cells, the battery management system and the bike's controller were designed to work together rather than approximately together.
