Addmotor Arisetan II M-360: Semi-Recumbent Comfort, a 90 Nm Rear Drive, Three 4-Inch Fat Tires

The Addmotor Arisetan II M-360 is a semi-recumbent electric trike: you sit low on a saddle with a backrest, pedal forward, and ride on three 20 × 4.0-inch fat tires, with a rear-drive motor Addmotor rates at 750 W (1,400 W peak) and 90 Nm, a torque sensor, a rear differential and a parking brake.

Most electric trikes sit you upright, like a bicycle with a third wheel. The Arisetan leans you back against a backrest with the pedals out in front. Addmotor’s own advice puts the choice plainly: an upright trike gives better visibility in traffic and easier access, while a semi-recumbent gives a more comfortable reclined position, excellent stability and suits longer rides.

At Zeus it sits between two Addmotor siblings. The upright Grandtan II costs $800 less and carries more (350 + 100 lb). Addmotor’s other semi-recumbent, the Freetan M-368X, costs $1,800 more for a rear shock, an 80 mm fork and an 11.4″ step-over, and weighs 148 lb to the Arisetan’s 108. Zeus prices, October 2026.

⚠️ Canadian legal note

Canada has had no federal e-bike definition since the federal power-assisted-bicycle definition was repealed effective February 4, 2021, so e-bike rules are provincial, and they converge on a 500W motor and 32 km/h of assisted speed (Nova Scotia’s statute says 30 km/h). Addmotor rates the Arisetan’s rear motor at 750 W in its own model tables (its Canadian product page lists “Rear-Drive Motor” with no wattage), which is above that 500 W line. So in the provinces that set it, this trike is not treated as an e-bike for public roads, bike lanes or paths, even though its assist stops at 32 km/h.

Ride it on private land, or off-road where the landowner allows it, and check your province and municipality before any public-road use. Need a trike for public roads? Start with our 500 W collection → and the Canadian e-bike laws guide →

Watch Us Ride It: Fall and Winter Tests in Ontario

We filmed both of these ourselves. The first is our 21-minute fall ride in Ontario, published 6 November 2024. The second is our winter test on a snowy trail near Brantford, Ontario, filmed on 8 January 2025; it starts at 1:34, in the tight snowy corners. Tap a time to jump to that moment on YouTube.

What you see in the fall ride

  • 0:00  Climbs out of a roadside ditch.
  • 1:35  Up a steep grass hill from the bottom.
  • 3:50  Assist feel: at level 7 the torque-sensor assist felt loose to our rider; level 4 felt more natural.
  • 4:38  Onto gravel.
  • 6:03  Hill start from a stop: straight up.
  • 6:20  The steering shifted under pressure until we tightened bolts left loose at set-up. Check yours with a wrench before the first ride.
  • 8:05  Up a curb.
  • 8:43  Walkaround: rear motor, Shimano 7-speed, mechanical disc brakes; over the bumps we heard no noise from the frame.
  • 16:00  Squeezing the front brake cuts the motor.

What you see in the winter test

  • 1:03  Pedal assist through fresh snow on a wooded trail.
  • 1:34  Tight snowy corners: the rear slides. “Not the best trail for this trike,” and it kept going.
  • 4:01  The assist was too strong for the narrow trail, so we turned it down.
  • 4:26  A squeak started; we re-tuned the trike after the ride.

Notes are our summary of what happens on camera, with times from YouTube’s transcript. Addmotor’s own assembly video → covers the final set-up steps.

Why Ride the Arisetan Instead of an Upright Trike

Its case is the combination. Each part below exists on other trikes; few put all of them under a reclined seat:

  • The backrest takes the load off your wrists. You sit low against a backrest with the pedals out in front. Addmotor describes the frame as promoting “a relaxed, natural posture that reduces strain on the back and shoulders.”
  • Three fat tires and a rear differential. Three 20 × 4.0″ tires, and a differential that lets the rear wheels turn at different speeds in a corner, which Addmotor says is there for safe turning and cornering. Our videos show it on grass, gravel and fresh snow.
  • Torque on tap. A rear motor Addmotor rates at 750 W (1,400 W peak) and 90 Nm, a torque sensor and a half-twist throttle. In our fall ride it climbed out of a ditch, up a curb and up a hill from a standing start.
  • It stays put when you stop. A parking brake holds it on a slope, and three wheels mean no balancing at a standstill.

Key Features

  • Semi-recumbent 6061 aluminium frame with backrest saddle: 28.3″ saddle height, 26.7″ standover and 29.5″ reach (Addmotor’s figures). The low seat and backrest suit riders who find an upright saddle hard on the back.
  • Rear-drive motor: 750 W rated, 1,400 W peak, 90 Nm: Figures from Addmotor’s own model-comparison tables; Addmotor puts the motor at the rear for traction and stability. Assist stops at 32 km/h.
  • Torque sensor, 7 assist levels and a half-twist throttle: The torque sensor adds power as you push harder on the pedals. In our fall ride the top assist level felt loose and level 4 felt more natural, so expect to try a few levels before one feels right.
  • Rear differential and parking brake: The differential lets the two rear wheels turn at different speeds through a corner; the parking brake holds the trike on an incline (Addmotor).
  • Tektro mechanical disc brakes on all three wheels: One rotor per wheel, three in all, and the motor cuts out when you brake (we show it at 16:00 in our fall ride).
  • 48 V 20 Ah Samsung battery, UL-certified (960 Wh): Removable, so it can come inside to charge and to sit out a cold night. Addmotor rates up to 137 km in PAS 1 and puts its batteries at about 800 charging cycles.
  • 20 × 4.0″ fat tires and a 25 mm oil-spring fork: Double-wall aluminium rims on all three wheels. The tires do most of the cushioning.
  • Lights and display: A headlight and a 5-in-1 taillight with integrated turn signals and brake light, both on the main battery, plus Addmotor’s 5-inch LCD with a USB port.
  • UL 2849 for the whole trike: Addmotor states that every Arisetan is UL 2849 certified at the whole-vehicle level and laser-etched with an official code; the battery carries UL 2271.

Size & Fit: Addmotor’s Dimensions Chart

Addmotor fits the Standard Arisetan II M-360, the model we sell, to riders from 5′7″ to 6′6″ (170–198 cm). Every figure below is Addmotor’s, in its own inches and centimetres.

  • Shorter than 5′7″? Addmotor’s Freetan M-368X fits from 5′1″ with an 11.4″ standover, and the upright Grandtan II fits 5′2″–6′4″. Addmotor also makes an Arisetan II M-360 Mini on 16 × 4.0″ tires for a lower entry; Zeus sells the Standard.
  • Two drawings, two sets of numbers: an older Addmotor measurement drawing, also in our photo gallery, prints a 300 + 80 lb load and a 43 kg (94.8 lb) trike. Addmotor’s current spec table says 280 + 100 lb and 108 lb (49 kg), and this page uses the current table.

What’s in the Box

The Arisetan II M-360 arrives about 85% pre-assembled (Addmotor’s figure), with its battery and a 48 V 2 A charger with a magnetic 5-pin plug. Addmotor’s FAQ puts the Arisetan Pack in the box too, and every Arisetan from Zeus comes with it free. Addmotor lists the pack at C$275; it holds:

  • Mirrors
  • Rear rack
  • Cleaning tools
  • Bike pump
  • Water bottle
  • Bracket holder extender

The rear rack is the wire rear basket in Addmotor’s photos (21.6 × 16.5 × 10.2″). A front basket is not included (Addmotor’s FAQ). On the storage bag Addmotor says two things: its product page notes that the bag is not included, while its box-contents answer still lists one. If the bag matters to you, call us at 1-866-938-7580 before you order.

Before your first ride: finish the set-up with Addmotor’s assembly video →, then check that the steering and handlebar bolts are tight. On the trike in our fall ride they were not, and the steering moved until we tightened them (6:20 in the video). Call us and we will walk you through it.

Prices in CAD, October 2026. Pack contents and value as Addmotor Canada listed them on 17 October 2026.

The Honest Take: What We’d Change

  1. Mechanical disc brakes. Tektro mechanical callipers on all three wheels stop it well (our rider said they work very well), but in our view cable brakes ask for more lever effort and need adjusting as the pads wear. The upside: any bike shop can service them. If hydraulic brakes are a must, the Meet One Breeze Pro 2.0 has them on all three wheels.
  2. 25 mm of fork travel and no rear suspension. The fat tires do most of the cushioning. Addmotor’s Freetan M-368X adds an 80 mm fork and a rear shock; the Grandtan II has an 80 mm fork.
  3. Big and heavy: 108 lb, 31″ wide, 80.7″ long. Addmotor lists no folding frame, so storage and transport take planning. If it has to fit in a car, Addmotor’s Citytri E-310 folds.

None of these is a surprise at this price, and none matters much if what you want is the reclined seat on three fat tires for private land, gravel lanes and snow.

Who Is This Trike For?

Who it’s not for: riders under 5′7″ (the Freetan M-368X fits from 5′1″); anyone who has to fold it into a car (the Citytri E-310 folds); anyone who needs a trike for public roads (our 500 W collection); and anyone who wants full suspension and hydraulic brakes in a semi-recumbent for less (Meet One lists the Breeze Pro 2.0 with a 500 W motor, triple suspension, triple hydraulic brakes and a folding frame; from $3,499 at Zeus, October 2026).

Choose the Arisetan II M-360 if…

You are 5′7″–6′6″ and want the reclined seat and backrest on three fat tires for gravel, grass and snow. It is the lighter and lower-priced of Addmotor’s two semi-recumbents at Zeus ($1,800 less and 40 lb lighter than the Freetan).

Choose the Freetan M-368X if…

You are shorter (from 5′1″) or need an 11.4″ step-over, and you want an 80 mm fork, a rear shock and an adjustable seat angle. It costs $1,800 more and weighs 148 lb.

Choose the Grandtan II if…

You would rather sit upright, want an 80 mm fork and a 350 + 100 lb payload, and want to spend $800 less.

Warranty: Addmotor’s terms, backed by Addmotor in full

Addmotor’s limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in material or workmanship, counted from the date of purchase. We file and follow every claim for you.

  • Frame: 2 years
  • Motor: 2 years
  • Battery (20Ah, the size on this trike): 2 years
  • Fork, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, lights, bottom bracket, rims, wheel hubs, derailleur, throttle, wiring harness, controller and LCD display: 1 year

It does not cover normal wear or consumables (tires, tubes, brake pads, rotors, bearings, cables, grips, chains, cassettes and spokes), theft or vandalism, or damage from accidents, misuse, neglect, commercial use, modifications, improper assembly, maintenance or repair, water, extreme or stunt riding, or not following the owner’s manual. Battery damage from a wrong or damaged charger, improper storage or extreme temperatures is excluded too, and Addmotor pays for a repair at another shop only when it approves the quote before the work is done.

Check the trike when it arrives. Addmotor asks for shipping damage, including missing pieces, to be reported within 5 days of receiving the trike, with dated photos of the damaged part and of the box, and for visible damage to be noted on the carrier’s bill of lading before you sign. Keep all the packaging until the inspection is finished. Tell us right away and we file it with Addmotor.

Your first month of Zeus Care is included: assembly walkthroughs, remote diagnostics, maintenance help and claim handling, by phone, email or video. Zeus Care plans continue it for 1, 2, 3 or 5 years ($119, $229, $339 or $599). Zeus Care is a service: it does not add warranty coverage.

Battery life: Addmotor puts its batteries at about 800 charging cycles. Addmotor’s warranty is counted from the date of purchase and stays with the original owner.

Shipping & Delivery

  • Shipping: Free shipping to all 10 provinces.
  • Ships from: Canada. Addmotor dispatches Canadian orders from its warehouse in Aurora, Ontario.
  • Timing: We process your order within 1–3 business days. Addmotor’s Canadian shipping guide says an in-stock order leaves its Aurora warehouse within 2–10 business days of order confirmation (its general FAQ says 1–2), and transit time depends on how far you are from Aurora.
  • Tracking: By email, as soon as the trike ships.
  • Delivery: Addmotor uses FedEx, UPS or Purolator for most bikes, and an adult over the age of 18 has to be there to sign for the delivery. If a delivery truck cannot reach your address, the carrier may ask you to collect the trike at a location it names.
  • Where we deliver: Addmotor does not ship to Yukon, the Northwest Territories or Nunavut, and we do not ship to P.O. boxes. If you live in a remote community, call us before you order.

Returns: 15-day returns from delivery on an unused, unopened trike in its original packaging (15% restocking fee; you pay return shipping). A trike that arrives factory-defective, with under 10 km of use, is a dead-on-arrival case: tell us within 14 days of delivery and we help arrange a refund or a warranty repair.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get Addmotor’s free Arisetan Pack if I order the Arisetan II M-360 from Zeus?

Yes. Addmotor includes its Arisetan Pack free with this trike on its own Canadian store, where it lists the pack at C$275, and every Arisetan II M-360 from Zeus comes with the same pack: mirrors, a rear rack, cleaning tools, a bike pump, a water bottle and a bracket holder extender. There is nothing to add to your cart and no code to enter. Addmotor’s product page notes that the storage bag is not part of the pack.

Is the Addmotor Arisetan II M-360 road legal in Canada?

Canada has had no federal e-bike definition since the federal power-assisted-bicycle definition was repealed effective February 4, 2021, so e-bike rules are provincial, and they converge on a 500W motor and 32 km/h of assisted speed (Nova Scotia’s statute says 30 km/h). Addmotor rates the Arisetan’s rear motor at 750 W in its own model tables, above that 500 W line, so in the provinces that set it this trike is not treated as an e-bike for public roads, bike lanes or paths, even though its assist stops at 32 km/h. Ride it on private land, or off-road where the landowner allows it, and check your province and municipality before any public-road use. For public roads, start with our 500 W collection.

What is the total weight of the Arisetan II M-360?

108 lb (49 kg) in Addmotor’s current spec table. An older Addmotor measurement drawing, also in our photo gallery, prints 43 kg (94.8 lb); plan around 108 lb when you lift it, load it on a vehicle rack or carry it up a step. Addmotor lists no folding frame for it.

How much weight can the Arisetan II M-360 carry? Is it rated for 400 lb?

No. Addmotor rates it for a 280 lb (127 kg) rider plus 100 lb (45 kg) of cargo, 380 lb in all. The older Addmotor drawing in our gallery prints 300 + 80 lb; the current table says 280 + 100. If you need more, the upright Grandtan II is rated for 350 + 100 lb.

Will the Arisetan II M-360 fit through a standard doorway?

Measure first. Addmotor gives the total width as 31 inches (78.7 cm) and the length as 80.7 inches (205 cm), so the trike needs a clear opening wider than 31 inches and room to line up a 6.7-foot trike. Check your door, gate or shed opening before you order.

How stable is the Arisetan II M-360 in sharp turns?

Three wheels keep it upright at a stop, and the rear differential lets the rear wheels turn at different speeds through a corner, which Addmotor says is there for safe turning and cornering. A trike does not lean like a bicycle, so slow down before a sharp turn: in our winter test the rear slid in tight snowy corners on a narrow trail (1:34 in the video).

Is assembly required when the Arisetan II M-360 is delivered?

Yes, the last steps. It arrives about 85% pre-assembled (Addmotor’s figure), and Addmotor’s assembly video walks through the rest. Then check that the steering and handlebar bolts are tight: on the trike in our fall ride they were not, and the steering moved until we tightened them. Your first month of Zeus Care includes an assembly walkthrough by phone or video.

What rider height does the Arisetan II M-360 fit, and how is it different from the Arisetan Mini?

Addmotor fits the Standard Arisetan II M-360, the model Zeus sells, to riders from 5′7″ to 6′6″ (170–198 cm), with a 28.3″ saddle height and a 26.7″ standover. Addmotor also makes an Arisetan II M-360 Mini on 16 × 4.0″ tires, which it describes as a trike with a lower entry. Under 5′7″, look at the Freetan M-368X (from 5′1″) or the upright Grandtan II (5′2″–6′4″).

Can I ride the Arisetan II M-360 in a Canadian winter?

We have: our winter test on a snowy trail near Brantford, Ontario, filmed on 8 January 2025, is on this page. It pushed through fresh snow, the rear slid in tight corners, and a squeak appeared that we fixed after the ride. Addmotor’s own winter advice: cold reduces battery efficiency and range, never leave the battery in an unheated garage or shed, and store it indoors at 5–20 °C. More in our winter guide.

What warranty comes with the Arisetan II M-360 from Zeus?

Addmotor’s limited warranty, backed by Addmotor in full: 2 years on the frame, motor and 20Ah battery, and 1 year on the fork, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, lights, bottom bracket, rims, wheel hubs, derailleur, throttle, wiring harness, controller and display. We handle the claim with Addmotor for you. Your first month of Zeus Care is included, and Zeus Care plans for 1, 2, 3 or 5 years ($119, $229, $339 or $599) continue the support; they are a service and do not add warranty coverage.

How much does the Arisetan II M-360 cost, and can I finance it?

The current price is at the top of this page, and it includes the free Arisetan Pack and free shipping to the 10 provinces. You can spread the cost with financing (see our financing guide), and an unused, unopened trike can be returned within 15 days of delivery (15% restocking fee; you pay return shipping).
