Velotric has not published a net weight, dimensions, material specification or installation guide for this rack — there is no Summit 2 owner's manual on Velotric's support site yet. Rather than guess, we have left those rows out. Call 1-866-938-7580 if you need a figure or the hardware list before you order and we will ask Velotric directly.
Compatibility
⚠️ Summit 2 only. Velotric states this rack is compatible with the Velotric Summit 2. It is not the same part as the Summit 1 rear rack , and Velotric does not list it as compatible with any other model in the range.
The Summit 2's own specification sheet lists the rear rack as optional, with a rear-rack load capacity of 30 kg. If you bought the Velotric Summit 2 and want to carry anything on the back of it, this is the part.
Note on the product photo: the fitted shot shows the rack installed on a Summit 2 with a rear fender also fitted. The fender is not part of this rack and is not included.

Does the Summit 2 come with a rear rack?
No. Velotric's Summit 2 specification lists the rear rack as optional. This is the rack Velotric makes for it.
How much can it carry?
66 lbs (30 kg). That figure is moulded into the rack platform itself, and it matches the 30 kg rear-rack load capacity Velotric publishes in the Summit 2 spec sheet.
What is MIK HD?
MIK HD is a heavy-duty locking interface for bike accessories. Compatible baskets, crates, rack bags and child seats click onto the platform and release again without straps, bungees or tools. Several brands build MIK HD accessories, so you are not limited to one catalogue.
Will it fit my Summit 1, Nomad 2 or Discover 3?
No. Velotric lists this rack as compatible with the Summit 2 only. The Summit 1 takes a different rack, which we also stock. If you are unsure which bike you have, call us at 1-866-938-7580 and we will check the model with you before you order.
Can I use ordinary panniers with it, or only MIK HD gear?
Both. MIK HD accessories click onto the top platform. Conventional pannier hooks mount to the side rails the way they would on any rear rack.
How does it install?
It bolts to the Summit 2's rear frame mounts — you can see the bolt points and support struts in the product photo. Velotric has not yet published an installation guide or a hardware list for this rack, so we are not going to invent one. Call us at 1-866-938-7580 before you order if you need those details and we will get them from Velotric.
What is the warranty?
Velotric covers accessories for one year from the delivery date of the original order. If a replacement is issued, the warranty stays tied to that original delivery date rather than restarting.
