Compatibility
Velotric lists this charger for the Discover 2, Summit 1, Nomad 2, Nomad 2X and Breeze 1. Three of those are bikes we sell:
Riding a Summit 2, Discover 3, Triker, Tempo, GoMad or Fold 1 Plus instead? Those take a different unit — the Velotric charger for those six models, which we also stock.
FAQ
Is this the same charger that came with my bike?
It is Velotric's original 48V 3A fast charger for these models. If your bike shipped with a different unit, or you are not certain which charger you need, call 1-866-938-7580 with your model and we will check it before you order.
Can I use it overseas?
It accepts 100–240V AC, so the charger itself will work on foreign mains. You would need the right plug adapter for the wall. Note that you cannot fly with the battery itself.
Why buy a second charger?
So you can charge a spare pack at home while the other is on the bike, or keep one at work and one at home instead of carrying a brick in your bag every day.
Can I use a cheaper third-party charger?
We would not. Voltage, connector and the battery management handshake all have to match, and a charger that cannot complete that handshake correctly is not doing the job. This is not the place to save twenty dollars.
