Eahora Romeo II
Eahora Romeo II — 3,120 Wh of Battery, 200 Nm of AWD Torque, on the Widest Tyres in the Romeo Line
The Romeo II is built for the rider who wants Eahora’s biggest battery and dual-motor traction without paying for the Pro II’s top-end speed or the Ultra II’s 60V flagship hardware. You get the 52V 60Ah (3,120 Wh) pack — the same capacity that powers the Romeo Pro II — mounted on a low-profile 20-inch platform wrapped in 5.0-inch Innova fat tyres. That tyre is the widest contact patch in the Romeo lineup. On packed snow, loose sand, and frost-heaved bike paths, that width is what keeps the bike planted while the AWD does its work.
Dual brushless hub motors front and rear deliver 200 Nm combined torque and an Eahora-rated gradeability of 35°–40°. Full suspension — 80mm adjustable hydraulic fork + 50mm rear air shock with damping — absorbs the kind of mid-winter pavement that destroys a hardtail. 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors handle the stopping load of a 143-lb machine carrying a rider and cargo. IPX6 weather rating. 1,200+ charge cycles to 80% capacity. 1-year manufacturer warranty, layered with Zeus’s in-house support.

⚠️ Ships PAB-compliant — out of the box. The Romeo II ships factory-limited to 500W continuous output and 32 km/h (20 mph) with functional pedals — meeting Canada’s federal Power-Assisted Bicycle (PAB) definition (Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations SOR/2000-180). Eahora explicitly states that higher peak output and torque are available for off-road performance. Unlocking those modes takes the bike outside PAB compliance and is intended for private property only — it cannot legally be ridden on public roads, lanes, or trails in that state. Keep the bike at the factory setting for Canadian public infrastructure. Provincial eBike laws →
Quick Answer
The Eahora Romeo II is a dual-motor AWD fat tyre electric bike built around twin brushless hub motors with 200 Nm combined torque (2 × 100 Nm), factory-limited to 500W continuous per motor and 32 km/h to ship Canadian PAB-compliant. Why 20-Inch Wheels and 5.0-Inch Tyres Change the Ride
Most fat tyre eBikes default to 26″ × 4.0″. The Romeo II deliberately goes smaller in diameter and wider in section. That choice has three practical consequences for Canadian riders.
Lower centre of gravity on a heavy machine. A 143-lb bike with the wheels closer to the ground is more stable when stopped, easier to balance at slow speeds, and less prone to tipping when loaded with panniers or a child seat. Riders in the 5′4″–5′10″ range generally get both feet flat on the ground at a stop — a confidence factor on icy intersections that gets undersold.
5.0-inch tyres are floatation tyres. A 4-inch tyre at 28 PSI is a fat tyre. A 5-inch tyre at the same pressure has noticeably more contact patch — meaningful on soft snow, loose gravel, and packed beach sand where narrower tyres dig in. That extra width is also a passive comfort feature on broken pavement — the tyre itself is doing suspension work before the fork or shock has to.
The honest trade-off: 20-inch wheels don’t roll over large square-edge obstacles (curb edges, frost-heaves, root crossings) as smoothly as 26-inch wheels. For pavement, gravel, snow, and mixed urban terrain, this is invisible. For technical singletrack with rock gardens, the 26-inch Romeo Pro II is the better tool. Read the full platform comparison in our fat tyre vs regular tyre eBike guide.
The takeaway: the Romeo II is the right pick if your riding is road, gravel, packed snow, and mixed urban terrain — especially if you’re in the 5′4″–5′10″ range and want both feet flat on the ground at a stop on a heavy bike. The 5.0″ tyres are the standout feature, and they’re what most competing AWD fat-tyre eBikes don’t offer.
Key Features
- Dual brushless hub motors — 200 Nm combined torque — AWD with selectable drive modes — Front and rear hubs deliver assist independently or together. The 4″ LCD includes a motors switch — ride front-only, rear-only, or dual-drive depending on conditions. AWD lets the front motor pull when the rear loses grip on snow or loose surfaces. Both motors are sealed inside the hubs — no exposed drivetrain components to corrode in winter salt.
- 52V 60Ah (3,120 Wh) lithium battery — Grade A pouch cells — ≥1,200 cycle life — Eahora rates the pack at 173–193 km PAS / 125–145 km throttle-only on the factory PAB setting. Our winter editorial estimate (−10°C to −15°C with cell capacity loss): roughly 120–150 km PAS range. The 1,200+ cycle rating to 80% capacity means daily commute use with proper charging habits will see usable battery life measured in years, not seasons. Removes from the frame with the included key for indoor charging.
- 20″ × 5.0″ Innova fat tyres — 28–33 PSI — The widest tyre in the Eahora Romeo lineup. Inflate toward 33 PSI for pavement rolling resistance, drop toward 28 PSI for snow and sand float. Inner tubes (not tubeless) keep flat repairs simple at the side of the road. 36-spoke aluminium alloy rims, 12-gauge black stainless steel spokes.
- Full suspension — 80mm adjustable hydraulic fork + 50mm rear air shock with damping — Adjustable preload on the fork lets you dial spring rate to your weight and load. The rear air shock is genuinely damped — not a passive coil — meaning it controls wheel movement over rough pavement instead of just softening the first impact. On a heavy bike, that distinction is the difference between commuting and enduring.
- 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes — 180mm × 3.0mm steel rotors — motor cutoff — Four pistons per calliper give meaningfully more clamping force than the 2-piston systems on most fat tyre eBikes. The 3.0mm rotor thickness provides thermal mass to resist fade on extended downhill descents. Semi-metallic pads come standard. Motor cutoff fires the instant a brake lever is squeezed — non-negotiable safety on a dual-motor build.
- 5-level cadence PAS + 5-level twist throttle with delayed response — Cadence PAS triggers steady assist at your chosen level based on pedal rotation. The twist throttle has an intentional response delay built in — a safety design that prevents accidentally engaging full power at a stop. PAS vs throttle explained for Canadian riding.
- Shimano 7-speed drivetrain — RD-TY300 derailleur, ASLTX50R7CT shifter, 14–28T cassette, 44T crankset — Hub motors don’t drive through the chain, so cassette and chain wear is dramatically lower than on a mid-drive of comparable power. 170mm aluminium crankset with dual chain guard. WELLGO 16/9 platform pedals.
- 4″ colour LCD — Bluetooth pairing — USB-A charging port — motor switch — Speed, battery, PAS level, trip data at a glance. Bluetooth connects to a smartphone. USB-A port draws from the main 52V battery to charge a phone or GPS while riding. The dedicated motor-switch toggle on the dashboard is a feature most dual-motor eBikes either bury in a sub-menu or omit entirely.
- 2,000 lumen / 20W LED headlight with built-in horn — Real illumination for unlit Canadian commuter paths in November and February darkness. Electric horn is wired into the handlebar controls. Both run off the main battery — no AA batteries to replace mid-winter.
- LED taillight with brake-signal blinker — Always-on rear visibility, brightening under brake pressure the way an automotive brake light does. The single most under-appreciated active safety feature on an eBike ridden home after dark.
- Cruise control + 6 km/h walk mode — Cruise holds set speed on long paths without continuous throttle input. Walk mode provides slow assisted forward movement — essential for navigating tight spaces, ramps, or parking aisles with a 143-lb machine.
- IPX6 weather rating — leather memory-foam saddle — included fenders, headlight, kickstand — IPX6 covers powerful water jets from any direction — rain, slush spray, splashed puddles. Pressure-relief saddle for extended rides. Front and rear fenders are bolted on out of the box.

Warranty
The Romeo II is covered by a layered warranty: a 1-month Zeus complimentary limited warranty (claim coordination), the Eahora manufacturer warranty (1 year on parts and workmanship defects), and optional paid Zeus extended-protection plans (1, 2, 3, or 5 years). Standard wear items — tyres, brake pads, chains, grips, and the saddle — and damage from misuse, improper maintenance, or unauthorised modification are not covered. See our warranty page for full terms, or call 1-866-938-7580 to confirm current Eahora coverage on the Romeo II before purchase.
What You Should Know Before Buying (Honest Take)
- Cadence sensor, not torque sensor. Assist is on/off in PAS levels — consistent and predictable, but not proportional to your effort the way a torque-sensing bike feels. Some riders prefer the cadence behaviour for its predictability, especially when carrying loads. If proportional PAS is a hard requirement, the Eunorau FAT AWD 3.0 is the torque-sensor AWD option.
- 143 lbs (65 kg) is a real number. Ground-floor storage is strongly recommended. Loading into a truck bed solo requires a ramp or a second person. Once moving under motor power, the weight is invisible — but it matters every time the bike isn’t moving.
- 330 lb payload ceiling. The Romeo Pro II is rated to 500 lbs. If you are a heavier rider, regularly carry significant cargo, or want maximum headroom on the spec sheet, the Romeo Pro II is the right choice.
- 80mm front fork vs 100mm on the Pro II. Adequate for pavement, gravel, and mixed-surface commuting. For aggressive trail use with large impacts, the Pro II’s additional 20mm of travel is noticeable. For everything most Canadian riders actually do, 80mm is fine.
- Factory top speed is 32 km/h, period. If you want a bike that legally rides faster than 32 km/h on Canadian public infrastructure, no PAB does — that is the federal ceiling. The Romeo II isn’t hiding speed — the rules are. Off-road mode unlocks higher performance for private use only.
- Available in black only. No colour choice. The Romeo Pro II offers three colourways if that matters to you.
- Inner-tube tyres, not tubeless. Cheaper to repair, slightly more puncture-prone than a tubeless setup. Carry a spare tube and a 16-gauge needle pump if you ride remote.
- Eahora does not publish UL certification on the Canadian product page. If your building requires a specific UL standard on file (UL 2849, UL 2271), call us at 1-866-938-7580 before ordering — we won’t claim a certification we can’t verify.
The trade-offs are honest and predictable. Nothing on the Romeo II is hidden behind marketing — what you see in the specs is what you get on the road.
Will It Fit You? — Sizing & Fit
The Romeo II is a single-frame fat tyre AWD eBike sized for riders 5′4″ to 6′2″ (165–188 cm). The 20-inch wheel platform delivers a meaningfully lower seat height and standover than a 26-inch fat-tyre build — useful for shorter riders and confidence-inspiring at a stop.

Who Is the Eahora Romeo II For?
- AWD-curious riders who want the longest single-battery range Eahora offers. 3,120 Wh on a single pack is genuinely rare — combined with dual-motor traction, this is a no-anxiety winter commuter and a serious shoulder-season tourer. Long-range eBike guide →
- Year-round Canadian riders. AWD plus 5.0″ tyres is the right combination for soft snow, packed-trail edges, and the kind of mixed-surface routes that punish a hardtail hub-drive. Winter eBike guide →
- Shorter and average-height riders who want a low, stable platform on a heavy bike. 5′4″–5′10″ riders get both feet flat at a stop — a real confidence factor on a 143-lb AWD machine.
- Riders who want a PAB-legal bike with no setup. Ships at 500W and 32 km/h — meeting the federal Canadian definition out of the box. Off-road performance available for private-property use when you want it.
- Riders who want full suspension at this position in the line. The 80mm fork + 50mm rear shock combination is genuinely useful on rough Canadian pavement — not just badging. Fat tyre eBike guide →
Who it’s NOT for:
- Riders needing 500 lb payload — the Eahora Romeo Pro II is rated to 500 lbs.
- Riders who must carry the bike upstairs — 143 lbs is not a stairwell carry.
- Riders who need proportional torque-sensing PAS — the Eunorau FAT AWD 3.0 is the torque-sensor AWD option.
- Aggressive technical singletrack riders — larger 26″ wheels on the Pro II or Ultra II handle rock gardens more smoothly.
- Riders who want a lighter bike for transit/car-rack use — see the long-range eBike guide for lighter alternatives.

Choose the Eahora Romeo Pro II → if you need 500 lb payload, 40 Nm more torque, an extra 20mm of fork travel, and 26-inch wheels for smoother rollover on rough terrain.
Choose the Eahora Romeo Ultra II → if you want the 60V flagship of the Romeo line — the largest battery, highest torque, and the most premium component spec Eahora offers.
Choose the Eunorau FAT AWD 3.0 → if you need proportional torque-sensing PAS, a much lighter 79-lb bike for transit and car-rack use, or an optional second battery for modular range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Romeo II legal on Canadian roads and bike paths?
As shipped, yes. It is factory-limited to 500W output and 32 km/h, which keeps it inside the federal Power-Assisted Bicycle (PAB) classification under Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations SOR/2000-180. The twist throttle is permitted because it cuts at 32 km/h. Off-road performance modes are available for private-property use only — unlocking them takes the bike outside the federal PAB definition. Provincial rules layer on top: see our province-by-province electric bike laws guide for current jurisdictional rules.
How does the 3,120 Wh battery hold up in Canadian winters?
Lithium cells typically lose 20–30% usable capacity at −10°C to −15°C. From the manufacturer’s 173–193 km PAS rating, our winter editorial estimate is roughly 120–150 km PAS range in deep cold — still genuinely long for a Canadian winter commuter. Store and charge indoors. Reattach the battery just before riding. Full guide: best electric bikes for winter Canada.
Torque sensor or cadence sensor?
Cadence. Five PAS levels triggered by pedal rotation — consistent and predictable, not proportional to rider effort. If torque sensing is a must-have, the Eunorau FAT AWD 3.0 is the torque-sensor AWD option. Full breakdown: pedal assist vs throttle eBike guide.
What’s the actual peak watt rating per motor?
Eahora publishes 500W continuous per motor on the Canadian product page and explicitly states that higher peak output and torque are available for off-road performance — without quoting a specific peak figure. We don’t publish a peak we can’t source. What is verified: 500W continuous each, 200 Nm combined torque, gradeability of 35°–40°.
Suitable for heavier riders?
The Romeo II is rated to 330 lbs (150 kg) total payload — rider plus cargo. Riders approaching that ceiling or wanting more headroom should look at the Eahora Romeo Pro II, rated to 500 lbs. Full comparison in the best eBikes for heavy riders Canada guide.
How long does the battery take to charge?
6–7.5 hours on the included 58.8V 7A quick charger, from a depleted state. The pack removes from the frame with the included key for indoor charging — the recommended routine in deep winter. Always use the supplied Eahora charger; aftermarket and mismatched chargers are the leading cause of eBike battery fires per Toronto Fire Services.
What’s the warranty structure?
Zeus includes a 1-month limited warranty on every order. Eahora’s manufacturer warranty covers parts and workmanship defects for 1 year. Paid Zeus extended-support plans (1, 2, 3, or 5 years) are available at checkout. Wear items and damage from misuse or modification are excluded — full Zeus warranty terms here.
