FAQ
Do I actually need this?
If you take the battery off the bike — to charge indoors, to store it over winter, to lighten a fold-up before carrying it — then yes. That is the whole point of a removable battery, and it is exactly when the connector is exposed. Canadian road salt is the specific thing you are protecting against.
Does it stay on while I ride?
Velotric describes it as a cover for the battery connectors and does not publish fitting instructions. Call 1-866-938-7580 before you order if you need that clarified and we will ask them.
Will it fit my Nomad or Discover?
No. Velotric lists a different connector cover for the Discover 1, Nomad 1, Go 1 and Packer 1 line.
What is TPU?
Thermoplastic polyurethane — a flexible, abrasion-resistant plastic. It stays pliable in cold weather rather than going brittle, which is the property that matters here.
