What size should I choose?
With the suspension seatpost (SP5) installed: Regular fits 5’2″–5’11″, Large fits 5’9″–6’7″. Without the suspension seatpost (rigid post): Regular fits 4’11″–5’9″, Large fits 5’6″–6’4″. If you are in the overlap zone (5’6″–5’9″ or 5’9″–5’11″), the smaller frame generally offers more standover clearance; the larger frame offers a more stretched riding position for longer torsos. The adjustable-angle stem fine-tunes reach on either size.
Can I ride this in Canadian winter?
Yes. IPX6 frame rating handles rain, slush, and road salt spray. IPX7 battery handles worst-case water exposure. The 500-lumen headlight and integrated turn signals cover the four months of darkness before 8 AM. The air fork and suspension seatpost absorb frost heaves that would rattle your teeth on a rigid bike. Expect 25–35% less range in cold temperatures. How does this compare to the Discover 2?
Key upgrades: battery increased from 14.7 Ah (706 Wh) to 15.2 Ah (730 Wh). Cassette upgraded from 11–32T to 11–40T — significantly better climbing range. Derailleur upgraded to Shimano Acera for reliability. Motor redesigned with internal rotor for 15% less noise. Headlight upgraded to 500 lumens. Taillight now includes turn signals and brake light.
