Tesway X7 Pro Fat Tire Electric Bike
Tesway X7 Pro — The Long-Haul Trucker of Fat-Tire eBikes
Some bikes are built to be fast. Some are built to be light. The Tesway X7 Pro is built to never run out. A single 52V 60Ah Samsung-cell battery pack — 3,120 watt-hours — sits inside this frame like a fuel tank in a diesel truck. It is the largest battery of any electric bike under $2,000 in our entire catalogue. The Ridstar H20 Pro at $1,800 ships with 2,208 Wh. The Euybike K6 Pro at $1,999 ships with 1,200 Wh. The X7 Pro ships with nearly three times the energy of a typical fat-tire eBike — and costs less than both of them.
Here is the number that matters: $1,789 ÷ 3,120 Wh = $0.57 per watt-hour. That is the lowest cost-per-Wh of any eBike we sell. Lower than the dual-motor X7 AWD ($0.77/Wh). Lower than the Tesway X9 AWD ($1.67/Wh). The X7 Pro also includes fenders, a passenger seat with foot pegs, NFC keyless security, and a Bluetooth companion app — accessories that cost $200+ aftermarket on most competitors and that the $2,399 X7 AWD does not even include.
It is also 108 lbs. It uses a cadence sensor. It has a single rear motor, not AWD. And the 320 km range claim is manufacturer-ideal at best. We sell the X7 Pro because of what it is, not in spite of what it is not. The battery is the thesis. The included accessories are the supporting evidence. The price closes the argument.

See It in Action
Why the X7 Pro Exists When the X7 AWD Already Does
The Tesway X7 AWD is a $2,399 dual-motor beast with 3,120 Wh and 200 Nm. It is the F-350 of our catalogue. But most Canadian riders do not need a second motor. They need the battery. The X7 Pro strips out the front motor, keeps the entire 3,120 Wh pack, adds fenders and a passenger seat, and hands you back $610. That is not a downgrade. That is an edit.
Here is what $610 buys you in either direction:
| What You Get | X7 Pro ($1,789) | X7 AWD ($2,399) |
|---|---|---|
| Battery | 3,120 Wh — identical | 3,120 Wh — identical |
| Motor | 1 × 1,200W rear (100 Nm) | 2 × 1,000W AWD (200 Nm) |
| Efficiency | Higher — single motor draws less | Lower — AWD drains faster |
| Real-World Summer Range | 200–320 km | 160–260 km |
| Weight | 108 lbs | 119 lbs |
| Fenders | Included | Not included |
| Passenger Seat + Pegs | Included | Not included |
| Bluetooth App | Yes | No |
| AWD Traction (snow/mud) | No | Yes |
| Brakes | 4-piston hyd. 180 mm | 4-piston hyd. 203 mm |
| Price per Wh | $0.57 | $0.77 |
If you ride paved roads, packed gravel, suburban streets, or groomed trails — the X7 Pro gives you the same 3,120 Wh battery with more range per charge (single motor efficiency), more accessories in the box, and $610 still in your pocket. The AWD only earns its premium in deep snow, loose mud, or steep unpaved climbs where a single rear wheel spins out. For the other 90% of Canadian riding, the X7 Pro is the smarter math.

The $200 in the Box That Nobody Mentions
Most eBike product pages list what is included as an afterthought. We are leading with it because the X7 Pro’s box contents are part of the value argument:
- Front and rear fenders (included). The X7 AWD at $2,399 does not include them. Aftermarket fat-tire fenders: $40–$80. In Canadian rain, slush, and spring melt, fenders are not optional. The X7 Pro has them on day one.
- Rear passenger seat and foot pegs (included). This turns the X7 Pro into a two-person vehicle. Most competitors charge $60–$120 for a passenger kit if they offer one at all. The X7 Pro ships with it.
- Bluetooth companion app. Real-time ride stats, battery diagnostics, and ride settings from your phone. The X7 AWD does not have this. Neither do the Ridstar H20 Pro or Euybike K6 Pro.
- NFC keyless security (2 cards). Tap to unlock, tap to ride. No NFC card, no motor engagement. The X7 AWD shares this feature; most competitors in this price range do not.
- Horn, reflectors, brake-activated taillight. Small items that add up to $30–$50 aftermarket.
Add it up: fenders + passenger kit + app + NFC cards + safety accessories = $150–$250 of aftermarket value included in a $1,789 bike. The X7 Pro is not just the cheapest cost-per-Wh — it is the most complete package at its price point.
Single Motor, Single Purpose — And That Is the Point
The X7 Pro runs a single 1,200W rear hub motor with 100 Nm of torque. No front motor. No AWD. And for most Canadian riders, that is the smarter buy. Here is why:
- Efficiency. One motor draws less power than two. The same 3,120 Wh battery that delivers 160–260 km on the dual-motor X7 AWD will push the X7 Pro further — real-world estimates of 200–320 km in summer and 140–220 km in winter are realistic for mixed Canadian riding on PAS 2–3.
- Simplicity. One motor, one controller, one set of wiring. Fewer components to maintain, fewer things that can fail, and every bike shop in Canada can service a single rear hub motor.
- Weight. 108 lbs is still heavy — but it is 11 lbs lighter than the 119 lb X7 AWD. That is a noticeable difference when manoeuvring in a garage or parking.
- Price. The single-motor setup is why the X7 Pro costs $1,789 instead of $2,399. Same battery. Same frame DNA. Same NFC security. $610 less.
AWD matters in deep snow, loose gravel, and steep muddy climbs. If that describes your typical ride, the X7 AWD is the right call. For everyone else — pavement, packed trails, light gravel, suburban roads — 100 Nm from a single rear motor handles Canadian terrain without drama. Motor type guide →
Canadian Winter Math — The Numbers Other Bikes Cannot Touch
Cold kills lithium batteries. At −10°C, expect 30% capacity loss. At −20°C, expect 40%. This is physics, not opinion, and it applies to every lithium eBike regardless of price. The question is not whether you lose capacity in winter — it is how much you have left after the loss.
| Temperature | Standard 720 Wh Bike | Dual-Battery 1,440 Wh | X7 Pro (3,120 Wh) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summer (full capacity) | 720 Wh | 1,440 Wh | 3,120 Wh |
| −10°C (30% loss) | 504 Wh | 1,008 Wh | 2,184 Wh |
| −20°C (40% loss) | 432 Wh | 864 Wh | 1,872 Wh |
| Estimated winter range | 25–45 km | 50–90 km | 140–220 km |
At −20°C — a normal January morning in Edmonton, Ottawa, or Winnipeg — the X7 Pro still has 1,872 Wh of usable energy. That is more than two and a half times what a standard eBike has in perfect July sunshine. The single motor is also more efficient than the dual-motor X7 AWD, so more of those winter watt-hours become actual kilometres. Store the battery indoors overnight (critical) and start every cold ride with a warm pack. Winter eBike guide →
Key Features
- 52V 60Ah Samsung-Cell Lithium Battery (3,120 Wh) — Largest Under $2,000 — The battery defines the X7 Pro. Integrated into the frame, removable for indoor charging (the battery weighs 30 lbs / 13 kg — plan accordingly). Samsung cells provide consistent discharge and longevity. The included 54.6V 6A charger refills from empty in approximately 10 hours — plug in overnight, ride all day tomorrow. IP65 waterproof rating protects the pack from rain and road spray. Store the battery indoors overnight in winter; lithium cells degrade faster when stored below −10°C. Full range calculation guide →
- 1,200W Rated / 1,600W Peak Rear Hub Motor — 100 Nm Torque — A single brushless rear hub motor handles the work. 100 Nm is sufficient for sustained hill climbing, headwind resistance, and carrying a passenger plus gear up to the 350 lb payload limit. Top speed reaches approximately 50 km/h (31 mph) — above any Canadian street-legal limit. PAS levels 1–3 cover legal-speed riding; PAS 4–5 are for off-road and private property. Half-twist throttle provides instant power without pedalling. Wattage guide →
- Full Suspension — 120 mm Lockable Hydraulic Front Fork + Rear Spring Shocks — The front fork offers 120 mm of hydraulic travel with a lockout for paved efficiency. Lock it on smooth roads; open it on gravel, trails, and broken pavement. Dual rear spring shocks keep the back end planted over bumps and potholes. At 108 lbs, the bike’s own mass works with the suspension rather than against it — the ride smooths out once you are moving, absorbing Canadian frost-heaved roads and seasonal road damage.
- 4-Piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes — 180 mm Rotors Front & Rear — Four pistons per caliper is premium hardware for this price point. Most eBikes under $2,000 ship with 2-piston calipers. Four pistons spread braking force across a larger pad surface, reducing fade on long descents and delivering consistent stopping in wet and cold conditions. The 180 mm rotors provide the leverage needed to stop 108 lbs of bike plus rider from 50 km/h.
- 20×4.0″ Kenda Fat Tires — Puncture-Resistant with 360° Reflective Strips — Kenda is a Tier 1 manufacturer. The 4.0-inch width delivers a stable contact patch that grips snow, sand, wet gravel, and loose dirt. Puncture-resistant casing reduces flats from glass, thorns, and road debris. 360-degree reflective strips add nighttime visibility from every angle — a safety detail most fat-tire eBikes omit. The 20-inch wheel diameter keeps the centre of gravity low for stability at speed.
- Shimano 7-Speed Rear Derailleur with 52T Crankset — Shimano is the world’s most serviceable drivetrain — every bike shop in Canada stocks parts. The 52T crankset with double chain cover prevents derailment under motor torque. The 7-speed range covers flat cruising in high gear and hill climbing in low gear. Shift under light pedal pressure to protect the chain and derailleur — the same rule that applies to every geared eBike.
- Full-Colour LCD Display with NFC Keyless Security, Bluetooth App & USB Port — The display shows real-time speed, battery percentage, PAS level (1–5), trip distance, and odometer. NFC tap-to-unlock means the bike does not start without the paired NFC card — a genuine anti-theft layer. Two NFC cards included; keep one on your keychain and the spare at home. The Bluetooth-enabled smart app connects to your phone for real-time ride stats, battery monitoring, and diagnostics. The built-in USB port charges your phone from the main battery while you ride.
- Passenger-Ready — Rear Seat and Pegs Included — Unlike most eBikes in this price range, the X7 Pro includes a rear passenger seat and passenger foot pegs. Combined with the 350 lb total payload capacity, this turns the X7 Pro into a two-person vehicle for short trips — errands, campus rides, neighbourhood commutes. Keep combined rider and passenger weight within the 350 lb limit.
- Fenders Included — Both front and rear fenders come in the box. In Canadian rain, slush, spring melt, and puddle-covered roads, fenders are not optional — they are necessary. The X7 AWD at $2,399 does not include fenders. The X7 Pro at $1,789 does. That matters.
- LED Headlight + Brake-Activated Taillight — The integrated LED headlight draws directly from the main 52V battery for consistent brightness. The rear taillight activates automatically during braking with increased brightness — a visibility feature that matters during Canadian autumn and winter when daylight hours are short. Both lights are integrated, not clip-on afterthoughts.
- 6061 Aluminium Alloy Frame — Aerospace-grade 6061 aluminium provides the strength-to-weight balance needed for the X7 Pro’s 100 Nm of motor torque. Corrosion-resistant for year-round Canadian riding. The frame geometry positions the rider upright for comfort on long rides while keeping weight distribution centred for stability.

Compatible Tesway Accessories
Every accessory below is designed for the Tesway platform and fits the X7 Pro directly. Note: the X7 Pro already includes a passenger seat, foot pegs, and fenders in the box — the separate passenger seat accessory listed below is for replacement or for other Tesway models that don’t include one.
| Accessory | Price | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Front Basket | $79 | Bolt-on wire basket for groceries, bags, or gear. Mounts to the front handlebar area. Keeps weight forward for balanced handling with a rear passenger. |
| Foldable Platform | $89 | Rear-mounted folding platform that extends the cargo area behind the passenger seat. Folds flat when not in use. Ideal for crates, coolers, or oversized loads. |
| Guardrail Hanger | $149 | Side-mounted guardrails that attach to the rear frame. Provides grab handles for a rear passenger and prevents side-to-side sliding of cargo. Pairs with the child safety handrail for full passenger protection. |
| Child Safety Handrail Fence | $169 | Rear-mounted enclosed safety fence designed for carrying a child passenger. Creates a three-sided barrier around the rear seat area. If you’re carrying kids, this is non-negotiable. |
| Child Safety + Guardrail Combo | $319 | The handrail fence and guardrail hanger bundled together — saves $0 vs buying separately, but ships as a matched set for guaranteed fit. Full passenger enclosure for maximum child safety. |
| Passenger Seat (Replacement) | $69 | Replacement rear passenger seat. The X7 Pro already includes one — this is a spare or upgrade for other Tesway models. Pre-order; ships when available. |
| 52V 60Ah Spare Battery (3,120 Wh) | $929–$959 | An identical second battery. Doubles your total capacity to 6,240 Wh — swap on the road for effectively unlimited range. At $0.30/Wh for the spare, this is the cheapest way to double any eBike’s range. Weighs 30 lbs (13 kg); carry in a backpack or pannier. |
The family build: Front Basket ($79) + Child Safety + Guardrail Combo ($319) = $398 total to turn the X7 Pro into a fully enclosed child-carrying utility eBike. Combined with the included passenger seat, foot pegs, and fenders, this is a two-person vehicle for under $2,200 all-in.
Assembly & Setup
The X7 Pro ships approximately 85% pre-assembled in a reinforced carton. Final assembly takes 30–45 minutes: handlebars, front wheel, pedals, and fender adjustments. All required tools are included.
What to do on arrival:
- Unbox and inventory all parts against the printed checklist
- Install the front wheel (align the front brake disc between the caliper pads)
- Mount and align the handlebars (tighten the stem bolts evenly)
- Thread in both pedals (right pedal clockwise, left pedal counter-clockwise)
- Adjust the seat height and check fender clearance
- Charge the battery fully before the first ride (~10 hours from empty)
- Set up NFC security: tap the included NFC card to the display to pair it
- Download the Bluetooth companion app and pair with the display
- Test brakes, motor, and all 5 PAS levels before your first real ride
What We’d Change (Honest Take)
Zeus sells the X7 Pro because the $0.57/Wh value proposition is unmatched at any price. We also believe in telling you where it trades off:
- Cadence sensor, not torque sensor. The X7 Pro detects whether you are pedalling, not how hard. Motor power is fixed to your PAS level — PAS 1 gives gentle assist, PAS 5 gives full power, regardless of pedal effort. A torque sensor modulates power proportionally to your pedal pressure, which feels more natural and gives finer speed control near pedestrians. For throttle-dominant and off-road riding, the cadence sensor is not a dealbreaker — you are controlling speed with the throttle anyway. For city commuting on shared pathways, the difference is noticeable. Torque vs cadence sensor explained →
- 108 lbs is a lifestyle decision. Lighter than the 119 lb X7 AWD, but still heavy by any standard. You need ground-level storage — a garage, a shed, a ground-floor lock-up. Do not buy this bike if your storage requires stairs. The weight is physics: 3,120 Wh of lithium weighs 30 lbs alone. Add a full-suspension frame, 100 Nm motor, and 4-piston brakes, and 108 lbs is the result.
- No turn signals. At 108 lbs capable of 50 km/h, the X7 Pro has the road presence of a moped. Turn signals should be standard. Budget $30–$50 for aftermarket.
- Single motor, no AWD. On dry or packed surfaces, this is an advantage (efficiency, weight, simplicity). On deep snow, loose sand, or steep muddy climbs, AWD provides traction the single rear motor cannot match. If winter and off-road traction are critical, the X7 AWD at $2,399 adds a front motor and 200 Nm combined torque.
- 10-hour charge time. The 54.6V 6A charger is faster than a standard 3A charger, but 3,120 Wh is a lot of energy to refill. Overnight charging is the practical reality. If you drain the battery mid-day, you are waiting until tomorrow. Plan your rides; the range is large enough that most riders will never drain it in a single day.
- 7-speed, not 8 or 9. Functional, not refined. The gaps between gears are wider than an 8 or 9-speed cassette. Under 100 Nm of motor torque, shift under light pedal pressure to protect the chain and derailleur.
- The 320 km range claim is aspirational. Tesway rates range under ideal conditions — flat terrain, light rider, PAS 1, warm weather. Canadian reality: 200–320 km in summer mixed riding, 140–220 km in winter. Still exceptional. Just not always 320.
Every trade-off above is the cost of putting 3,120 Wh into a $1,789 bike. The battery took priority in the budget, and for the riders this bike is built for, that is exactly the right call.

Who Buys the X7 Pro?
- Budget-conscious riders who refuse to compromise on range — You have $1,800 to spend and you want the most battery for your money. Full stop. The X7 Pro delivers 3,120 Wh for $1,789 — more usable energy than bikes costing $3,000+. No other bike at this price is even in the same conversation for range. Best eBike deals Canada →
- Canadian winter riders who need deep-cold insurance — At −20°C with 40% cold loss, the X7 Pro still delivers 1,872 Wh of usable energy. That is more than most eBikes have on a warm July day. Fat tires grip snow and ice. Full suspension absorbs frost-heaved roads. If you ride 12 months a year, the battery surplus is not luxury — it is survival margin. Winter eBike guide →
- Rural riders and acreage owners — 200–320 km of real-world summer range means you commute to town, check the back 40, run errands, and return home without thinking about charging. The 350 lb payload handles rider plus passenger plus supplies. The fat tires handle unpaved roads and gravel without flinching.
- Two-person households on a single bike budget — The included passenger seat and foot pegs turn the X7 Pro into a two-person vehicle. Combined with 3,120 Wh of range, short-distance trips with a passenger do not drain the battery the way they would on a 720 Wh bike. Keep combined weight within 350 lbs.
- Throttle-first riders — If you ride primarily on throttle rather than pedal assist, the cadence-vs-torque sensor distinction matters less. The X7 Pro with half-twist throttle control is responsive and predictable regardless of sensor type. And 3,120 Wh means throttle-only riding does not drain the battery in an hour. Pedal assist vs throttle guide →
- Heavy riders up to 350 lbs — The 350 lb payload, 4-piston hydraulic brakes, and full suspension handle heavier riders without the marginal braking and range problems that plague lighter-spec bikes. The bike’s own 108 lbs provides stability rather than feeling flimsy under load. Heavy rider eBike guide →
Who it’s NOT for:
- Riders who want a step-thru frame — The X7 Pro is step-over only. At 108 lbs, swinging a leg over the top tube is a real consideration for shorter riders or anyone with limited mobility. The Freesky Wild Cat Pro A-340 ($1,928) offers a step-thru frame, 130 Nm torque, 26″ wheels, and integrated turn signals — with a smaller 1,200 Wh battery.
- Apartment dwellers above ground level — 108 lbs. Stairs. No. If your storage requires stairs, consider the Euybike K6 Pro at 81 lbs with a folding frame.
- Riders who need AWD traction in deep snow or mud — A single rear motor spins out where AWD claws forward. If you ride off-road in winter or through consistently loose terrain, the Tesway X7 AWD ($2,399) adds a front motor and 200 Nm combined torque for $610 more.
- Riders who want a street-legal PAB — At 1,200W, the X7 Pro exceeds Canada’s 500W federal limit for power-assisted bicycles. Designed for off-road, private property, and trails where motorised vehicles are permitted. Wattage guide →

Choose the Freesky Wild Cat Pro if you want stronger torque (130 Nm), a step-thru frame for easier mounting, 26″ wheels for trail stability, and integrated turn signals — at the cost of a much smaller 1,200 Wh battery.
Choose the Ridstar H20 Pro if you need a folding frame and dual-battery range (2,208 Wh) at a similar price.
Choose the Euybike K6 Pro if weight matters (81 lbs), 400 lb payload is essential, and the magnesium folding frame justifies the $210 premium over the X7 Pro.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Tesway X7 Pro street-legal in Canada?
No. At 1,200W rated motor power, the X7 Pro exceeds Canada’s federal 500W limit for power-assisted bicycles (PABs). It is designed for off-road use, private property, and trails where motorised vehicles are permitted. Read our full Canadian eBike wattage guide →
What is the actual real-world range?
Tesway claims up to 320 km under ideal laboratory conditions. Real-world Canadian mixed riding (hills, wind, PAS 2–3, variable terrain): 200–320 km in summer. In winter at −10°C with 30–40% battery loss: 140–220 km. Even the winter low end exceeds what most eBikes deliver in summer. Range varies with PAS level, throttle use, rider weight, terrain, and temperature. Full Wh-to-range calculation →
How does it compare to the Tesway X7 AWD?
Same 3,120 Wh battery. Same NFC security. Same 20×4.0″ Kenda fat tires. Different motor setup: the X7 Pro has a single rear motor (1,200W, 100 Nm) while the X7 AWD has dual motors with AWD (2,000W, 200 Nm). The X7 Pro is 11 lbs lighter (108 vs 119), more energy-efficient (longer range per Wh), and $610 cheaper ($1,789 vs $2,399). The AWD adds traction in deep snow, mud, and loose terrain. For dry roads and packed trails, the X7 Pro is the smarter buy.
Does it have a torque sensor?
No — the X7 Pro uses a cadence sensor. Motor power is fixed to your PAS setting regardless of pedal effort. For throttle-dominant riding, this is perfectly functional. For shared-pathway commuting where proportional speed control matters, a torque sensor is better. Torque vs cadence sensor explained →
Can I ride it in Canadian winter?
The X7 Pro is arguably one of the best winter-range eBikes in our catalogue by raw capacity. At −10°C (30% loss), you have 2,184 Wh. At −20°C (40% loss), you have 1,872 Wh. Fat tires grip snow and ice. Full suspension absorbs frost-heaved roads. Store the battery indoors overnight and start every cold ride with a warm battery. Winter eBike guide →
Can it carry a passenger?
Yes. The X7 Pro includes a rear passenger seat and foot pegs. The 350 lb total payload capacity accommodates rider and passenger as long as combined weight stays within the limit. The 3,120 Wh battery means carrying a passenger does not drain the battery in an hour the way it would on a 720 Wh bike. Keep in mind that added passenger weight will reduce range by approximately 15–25%.
What is the NFC security system?
The bike includes two NFC cards. You must tap one to the display console to unlock and start the bike. Without the NFC card, the motor will not engage. This prevents casual theft and joyriding.
