Eahora Romeo Pro
Eahora Romeo Pro — One Strong 1,200W Motor, Full Suspension, and a 2,880 Wh Battery, on the Lightest Frame in the Romeo Line
The Romeo Pro is the single-motor entry to Eahora’s full-suspension Romeo family — and the lightest of them. One geared rear hub motor rated 1,200W nominal (1,400W peak) with 120 Nm of torque drives a 26-inch fat-tyre chassis with real full suspension (100mm hydraulic fork + 50mm air rear), fed by a 48V 60Ah / 2,880 Wh battery good for a genuinely long ride. You give up the Pro II’s second motor and all-wheel-drive grip — and in exchange you get a lighter, simpler, lower-priced bike that still floats over rough ground.
At 56.5 kg (124 lbs), it’s nearly 30 lbs lighter than the dual-motor Romeo Pro II — easier to load on a hitch rack and move around the garage. Eahora rates PAS range at 165–180 km and throttle-only at 110–120 km. And it carries hardware most single-motor fat bikes skip at this price: full suspension, 203mm hydraulic disc brakes, an IP65 weather rating, and a taillight with both brake and turn-signal blinkers.

⚠️ This is an off-road eBike — not a federally-classified PAB. Zeus and Eahora list the Romeo Pro with a 1,200W hub motor (1,400W peak), and Eahora Canada’s sheet also carries “factory-limited to 500W” road-mode language. But Canada’s federal PAB test (Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations SOR/2000-180) is the motor’s rated output, not a software cap — and a motor rated 1,200W is not a federally-classified PAB. Built for private property, Crown land, and designated motorized trails — ride the factory setting only where local rules allow, and keep the off-road performance off public infrastructure. Quick Answer
The Eahora Romeo Pro is a 26-inch full-suspension single-motor fat tyre eBike. One geared rear hub motor rated 1,200W nominal (1,400W peak) with 120 Nm torque; Eahora CA also lists a 500W road-mode limit, but the rated output (1,200W) means it is not a federal PAB. A large 48V 60Ah battery (2,880 Wh) rated 165–180 km PAS / 110–120 km throttle-only, removable for indoor charging. CST 26″ × 4.0″ fat tyres on 36H aluminium rims with 12-gauge spokes. Full suspension: 100mm adjustable hydraulic fork plus 50mm air rear shock. Dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203mm rotors front and rear and motor cutoff. Shimano 7-speed (RD-TY300, 14–28T freewheel, 44T 170mm crank). 4″ portrait colour LCD with Bluetooth. 48V 20W LED headlight with integrated horn. LED taillight with brake AND turn-signal blinkers. 8-second auto-cruise + 6 km/h walk mode. Leather memory-foam saddle. Carbon steel step-over frame, 56.5 kg (124 lbs), up to 330 lb (150 kg) payload, fits riders 5′6″–6′4″ (170–195 cm). Available in Black and Grey. IP65. Because the motor is rated above Canada’s federal 500W PAB ceiling, it is an off-road / private-property eBike. 1-month Zeus + 1-year Eahora warranty. Free Canada-wide shipping. Why a Single-Motor Full-Suspension Fat Bike Makes Sense
Dual-motor AWD is the headline feature of the Romeo Pro II and Ultra II — but not everyone needs two motors. A second motor adds weight, draws more power, and raises the price. For a rider on gravel, packed trail, and mixed pavement who isn’t routinely clawing up loose, steep, or icy climbs, one strong 1,200W hub motor is plenty — and the single-motor build is the reason the Romeo Pro is the lightest and most affordable bike in the line.
What the Romeo Pro doesn’t cut is the chassis. You still get real full suspension — a 100mm adjustable hydraulic fork and a tunable 50mm air rear shock — on 26″ × 4.0″ fat tyres, with 203mm hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. Full suspension on a single-motor fat bike at this price is rare; most competitors at this level are hardtails. The Romeo Pro spends its budget on the ride, not just the motor.
The honest trade-off: one motor means no all-wheel-drive traction, and the brakes are 2-piston (vs the Pro II’s 4-piston). For most riders most of the time, neither matters. If you ride snow, mud, and loose climbs where grip is everything, the dual-motor Romeo Pro II is the better tool — on the same frame.
The takeaway: the Romeo Pro is the right pick if you want a comfortable, long-range, full-suspension fat bike at the lightest weight and lowest price in the Romeo line — and you don’t need dual-motor AWD. You keep the full suspension, the big 2,880 Wh battery, the 203mm brakes, and the turn signals; you simply run one motor instead of two.
Key Features
- Single geared hub motor — 1,200W nominal / 1,400W peak — 120 Nm — One strong rear hub motor, sealed inside the wheel with no exposed drivetrain to corrode in winter salt. Eahora’s US spec and Zeus’s own listing put it at 1,200W (1,400W peak); Eahora Canada also lists a 500W road-mode limit. 120 Nm of torque pulls the bike up a 30–40° grade. It is not all-wheel-drive — see the legal and single-vs-dual notes below.
- 48V 60Ah (2,880 Wh) lithium battery — removable — A genuinely large pack for a single-motor fat bike. Eahora rates the range at 165–180 km PAS / 110–120 km throttle-only. Our winter editorial estimate (−10°C to −15°C with cell capacity loss): roughly 110–130 km PAS range. Removes from the frame for indoor charging on the included 54.6V 5A smart charger. Long-range eBike range math →
- Full suspension — 100mm adjustable hydraulic fork + 50mm air rear shock — Adjustable preload on the fork lets you dial spring rate to your weight and load; the rear air-valve shock can be tuned the same way. Combined with the fat tyres, it’s a genuinely smooth ride over potholes, roots, curbs, and gravel washboard — and full suspension is uncommon on a single-motor fat bike at this price.
- 203mm hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear — dual-piston — motor cutoff — Big 203mm rotors front and rear give strong, fade-resistant stopping on a 124 lb bike. Motor cutoff kills power the instant a brake lever is squeezed. (The dual-motor Romeo Pro II steps these up to 4-piston callipers for its heavier, more powerful build.)
- CST 26″ × 4.0″ fat tyres — 36H aluminium rims, 12-gauge spokes — A large contact patch for sand, gravel, wet pavement, packed snow, and loose dirt, plus a big air cushion that adds a second layer of comfort over the suspension. Run the pressure marked on the sidewall; drop it for snow and sand float.
- LED taillight with brake AND turn-signal blinkers — Genuinely uncommon at this price. The taillight brightens under braking and adds left/right turn-signal blinkers for visibility — a real safety feature for dusk and after-dark riding. The 48V 20W LED headlight has a built-in electric horn.
- 5-level cadence PAS + full-speed twist throttle — Cadence PAS triggers steady assist at your chosen level based on pedal rotation; the throttle delivers power on demand. PAS vs throttle explained for Canadian riding →
- Shimano 7-speed drivetrain — RD-TY300 derailleur, MF-TZ500-7 14–28T freewheel, 44T 170mm crank — A hub motor doesn’t drive through the chain, so cassette and chain wear stay low. Shift under light pedal pressure to protect the drivetrain. Shimano ASLTX50R7CT 7-speed shifter.
- 4″ portrait colour LCD — Bluetooth — Speed, battery, PAS level, and trip data at a glance, with Bluetooth smartphone pairing. 8-second auto-cruise holds a set speed on long open trails; 6 km/h walk mode helps move the bike up ramps and through tight spaces.
- IP65 weather rating — leather memory-foam saddle — fat-tyre fenders & kickstand included — IP65 covers dust and water jets from any direction — rain, slush spray, splashed puddles — across the motor, battery, display, and wiring. Pressure-relief leather saddle, comfort ergo grips, custom fat-tyre fenders, and a heavy-duty aluminium kickstand are fitted out of the box.
About the “500W” Language — The Honest Truth on Power & Legality
Eahora Canada’s spec sheet carries the same “factory-limited to 500W output to comply with local road regulations” line that runs across the Romeo family, with higher output available for off-road performance. We won’t leave the “500W” impression unqualified.
Both Zeus’s own listing and Eahora’s US specification rate the Romeo Pro’s motor at 1,200W (1,400W peak). Canada’s federal PAB regulation (Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations SOR/2000-180) defines a PAB by the motor’s rated continuous output — 500W or less, with functional pedals and an assisted-speed cut-out at 32 km/h. The legal test is the motor’s rated capability, not a downstream software setting. A motor rated 1,200W does not become a 500W motor because a road mode caps delivered output, and Eahora’s own real-world testing shows the bike reaching roughly 46–50 km/h off the limiter.
The Romeo Pro is therefore best understood as an all-terrain / off-road eBike, appropriate for:
- Private property and farmland
- Crown land and forest-service roads where motorized cycles are permitted
- Designated motorized off-road, ATV, and snowmobile trails
- Provincial off-road permit zones
If your primary riding is pathway commuting that requires a federally-classified PAB, choose a single-motor 500W-nominal bike that meets the definition at the hardware level. The Romeo Pro is built for terrain and traction, not pathway compliance — ride the factory setting only where local rules allow. Provincial enforcement varies; verify your local bylaws. Single Motor vs Dual Motor — Romeo Pro or Romeo Pro II?
The Romeo Pro and the Romeo Pro II share the same 26-inch full-suspension frame, the same geometry, the same 2,880–3,120 Wh-class battery, and the same fat tyres. The difference is the drivetrain — and it’s the whole decision:
- Romeo Pro — one motor. A single 1,200W rear hub (120 Nm), 48V 60Ah (2,880 Wh), 2-piston 203mm brakes, 124 lbs, lower price. Lighter to lift and rack, simpler to live with, and plenty of power for gravel, packed trail, and mixed pavement.
- Romeo Pro II — two motors, AWD. Dual 2,000W hubs (240 Nm combined), 52V 60Ah (3,120 Wh), 4-piston 203mm brakes, 151 lbs, higher price. The front motor pulls when the rear slips — the difference-maker on snow, mud, wet leaves, and loose, steep climbs.
The honest rule of thumb: if you regularly ride low-grip surfaces or steep loose climbs, the AWD of the Romeo Pro II earns its weight and cost. If your riding is gravel roads, packed trails, and pavement, the Romeo Pro gives you the same comfortable chassis for less money and 27 fewer pounds. Both are off-road eBikes — neither is a federal PAB.

What You Should Know Before Buying (Honest Take)
- Single motor — no AWD. One rear hub motor. Strong and efficient on gravel, trail, and pavement, but it can’t match the front-wheel pull of the dual-motor Romeo Pro II on snow, mud, and loose climbs. Buy the Romeo Pro knowing it’s a single-motor bike.
- It’s an off-road eBike, not a pathway commuter. The motor is rated 1,200W — above the federal 500W ceiling — so it isn’t a federally-classified PAB regardless of the 500W road-mode language. Ride it on private property, Crown land, and designated motorized trails.
- Cadence sensor, not torque sensor. Assist is on/off in PAS levels — consistent and predictable, but not proportional to your effort. If you want proportional power, the Eunorau Fat HD 2 (mid-drive) and Velotric Nomad 2 (switchable) are the torque-sensor options.
- 2-piston brakes (not 4-piston). The 203mm rotors are large and the dual-piston callipers are strong for a 124 lb bike. If you want maximum braking for heavier loads or sustained descents, the 4-piston Romeo Pro II steps it up.
- 124 lbs is still heavy. Lighter than the Pro II (151 lbs), but a fat bike is a fat bike — ground-floor or garage storage is the realistic expectation, and a solo truck-bed load wants a ramp.
- Cell brand and cycle life not published. Eahora describes the cells as pouch type but doesn’t name the manufacturer or publish a cycle-life figure for the Romeo Pro. Charge time isn’t published either; the 54.6V 5A charger implies a longer top-up than a high-amp quick charger. Call 1-866-938-7580 for the current cell spec on shipping inventory.
- Eahora doesn’t publish UL certification on the Canadian product page. If your building requires a specific UL standard on file (UL 2849, UL 2271), call us at 1-866-938-7580 before ordering — we won’t claim a certification we can’t verify.
The trade-offs are honest and proportional — this is a single-motor bike priced and built as one. Nothing on the Romeo Pro is hidden behind marketing.
Will It Fit You? — Sizing & Fit
The Romeo Pro shares the Romeo family’s 26-inch step-over frame, sized for riders 5′6″ to 6′4″ (170–195 cm). The 26-inch wheels and tall handlebar suit average-to-tall riders and feel planted at speed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Eahora Romeo Pro road-legal in Canada?
Not as a federal PAB. Zeus and Eahora list it with a 1,200W hub motor (1,400W peak), and Eahora Canada’s sheet also carries “factory-limited to 500W” language. Canada’s PAB test is the motor’s rated capability, not a software cap, so a 1,200W motor is not a federally-classified PAB, and Ontario and Quebec read higher-powered bikes strictly. Use it on private property, Crown land, designated motorized off-road trails, and where off-road eBike use is permitted; ride the factory setting only where local rules allow. Canadian eBike laws explained →
What is the actual motor power?
A single geared rear hub motor rated 1,200W nominal / 1,400W peak (Eahora US + Zeus listing) with 120 Nm torque. It is one strong motor — not the dual-motor AWD system of the Romeo Pro II (2 × 2,000W).
What is the real-world range?
Eahora rates it at 165–180 km PAS and 110–120 km throttle-only on the 48V 60Ah (2,880 Wh) battery. Realistic Canadian-conditions estimates:
- Flat hardpack, low PAS: 130–180 km
- Mixed terrain, moderate PAS: 90–130 km
- Hilly off-road or heavy throttle use: 55–85 km
- Canadian winter (−10°C to −15°C): roughly 60–70% of the warm-weather range
Romeo Pro or Romeo Pro II — which should I buy?
Same 26-inch full-suspension frame; the Romeo Pro is a single 1,200W motor (124 lbs, 2-piston brakes, lower price) and the Romeo Pro II adds a second motor for dual-motor AWD (240 Nm, 151 lbs, 4-piston brakes). Choose the Pro if one strong motor on full suspension is enough; choose the Pro II if you need all-wheel-drive grip on snow, mud, and loose climbs.
Is it full suspension?
Yes — a 100mm adjustable hydraulic fork up front and a 50mm adjustable air-valve rear shock, combined with the 26″ × 4.0″ CST fat tyres. Full suspension on a single-motor fat bike at this price is uncommon.
Does it have turn signals?
Yes — the LED taillight integrates a brake-signal light and left/right turn-signal blinkers. The 48V 20W LED headlight has a built-in horn, and the whole bike carries an IP65 dust-and-water-jet rating.
Torque sensor or cadence sensor?
A 5-level cadence sensor, paired with a full-speed twist throttle. For proportional torque sensing, the Eunorau Fat HD 2 (mid-drive) and Velotric Nomad 2 (switchable) are the options. PAS vs throttle explained →
How heavy is it and how much can it carry?
56.5 kg / 124 lbs with the battery installed (battery alone 12.5 kg). The manufacturer-rated payload is up to 330 lbs / 150 kg. Lighter than the dual-motor Pro II (151 lbs), but still a fat bike — ground-floor or garage storage is recommended.
Is it good for winter riding?
Yes. The 26″ × 4.0″ fat tyres handle packed snow and frozen trails, the IP65 rating copes with rain, snow, and slush, and the big 2,880 Wh battery gives a long cold-weather buffer (expect 60–70% of rated range in deep cold). With a single rear motor and no AWD, grip on steep, loose, or icy climbs is lower than the dual-motor Pro II. Winter eBike guide →
What warranty applies, and how do I finance it?
Zeus includes a 1-month limited warranty; Eahora’s manufacturer warranty covers material and workmanship defects for 1 year; paid Zeus extended-support plans (1, 2, 3, or 5 years) are available. Flexible monthly financing is available at checkout — see our Canadian eBike financing guide. Wear items and damage from misuse or modification are excluded — full Zeus warranty terms here.
