What's the difference between the FAT-HS and the FAT-HD?

Same Bafang BBSHD 1000W mid-drive motor. The FAT-HS has full suspension (front + rear), while the FAT-HD is a hardtail (front suspension only). The FAT-HS is better for rough terrain comfort; the FAT-HD is lighter and simpler. The FAT-HD also has a torque sensor, while the FAT-HS uses a cadence sensor.

Why mid-drive instead of hub motor?

Mid-drive motors sit at the cranks and leverage the bike's gears. This means more torque in low gears (steep hills, deep mud, towing) and more speed in high gears. Hub motors can't do this. Mid-drive is also quieter — a big advantage for hunting.

Is this legal on Canadian roads?

The 1000W motor exceeds most provincial road-legal eBike limits (typically 500W / 32 km/h). The FAT-HS is best suited for off-road, private land, and trail riding. Some provinces allow higher-power eBikes on certain roads — check your local regulations.

How does the dual battery system work?

The primary 15Ah battery sits inside the downtube. An optional second battery (14Ah or 17Ah, sold separately) mounts externally. With both batteries, you can reach up to 80 miles of range. The bike runs from one battery at a time — when one depletes, it switches to the other. Note: lock out the rear shock when installing the 17Ah second battery to avoid contact.

Can I tow a trailer with this bike?

Yes. The Bafang BBSHD mid-drive with 160Nm of torque is specifically built for heavy loads. Eunorau sells compatible hunting trailers (1-wheel and 2-wheel) and cargo trailers.

How heavy is this bike?

About 77 lbs. Heavy due to the full suspension frame, mid-drive motor, and fat tires — but that weight translates to stability and capability on rough terrain.

Can I swap to thinner tires?

Yes. Eunorau offers an optional 27.5" × 3.0" wheel set conversion kit. Thinner tires reduce rolling resistance — better for road riding and commuting. Speed sensor not included with the wheel set.
