Eunorau eKids 24 Kids Electric Bike
Eunorau eKids 24 — The eBike a Kid Grows Into, Not Out Of
The eKids 24 is the biggest, most comfortable, and most capable bike in the Eunorau eKids family — the one to buy when your child is ready for a real, well-built electric bike they can ride for years. It rolls on 24″ wheels, rides on a genuine 50mm suspension fork, and stops on dual 160mm disc brakes — the only eKids size that pairs real suspension with disc brakes front and rear. Underneath, a sensible, safety-first powertrain: a 24V 250W motor, a half-twist throttle that does nothing until the bike is already moving at 3 km/h, and a three-level speed cap (7.5 / 11 / 15.5 mph) a parent sets on the handlebar. Top speed is a deliberately conservative 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
This is the eKids for the rider who has outgrown a first bike — sized for 3’5″–5’5″ (104–165 cm), with the longest growth runway of the three sizes and a 200 lb payload that carries a growing kid and a backpack. It is light enough at 44.1 lbs for a young rider to handle, simple enough at single-speed that there are no gears to fuss over, and built on an aluminium alloy 6061 frame that will not rust through a Canadian winter in the garage. Two colours: Cloud White and Obsidian. 2-year limited warranty. Free Canada-wide shipping.

⚠️ Parents, read this first — fit age vs. legal age are different. Eunorau sizes the eKids 24 for riders 8 and up by height and reach. But Canadian law sets a separate minimum age to ride a power-assisted bicycle on public roads and bike paths, and in every province that age is older than 8 — Alberta 12; Ontario and BC 16; most other provinces 14–16. The eKids 24 meets the federal Power-Assisted Bicycle definition (250W, assist capped at 25 km/h, working pedals), but its throttle means it does not qualify for BC’s lower 14+ “Light E-Bike” class.
In plain terms: if your child is under your province’s minimum riding age, ride the eKids 24 on private property, driveways, backyards, and paths where local rules allow a supervised young rider — not public roads or bike lanes. Check your province’s rule → · Read the full parent’s guide →
Quick Answer
The Eunorau eKids 24 is the 24″-wheel model in the Eunorau eKids family — a kids electric bike with a 24V 250W rear hub motor, a 24V 10Ah battery (240 Wh), and a rated range of up to 20 miles (32 km). Top speed is 15.5 mph (25 km/h) with a parent-set three-level selector (7.5 / 11 / 15.5 mph), and a half-twist throttle that only engages after the bike reaches 3 km/h. It is the only eKids with both a 50mm suspension fork and dual 160mm disc brakes. Aluminium alloy 6061 frame, one size, single-speed. 44.1 lbs, 200 lb max payload, fits riders 3’5″–5’5″ (manufacturer guideline ages 8+). Charges in 4–5 hours. Colours: Cloud White, Obsidian. 2-year limited warranty. Free Canada-wide shipping. Meets the federal Power-Assisted Bicycle definition; provincial minimum riding age (12–16) applies for public roads and paths. Compare the family: eKids 16 → · eKids 20 →

Why the eKids 24 Is the One to Buy If You’re Buying Once
Kids’ bikes get outgrown fast, which is exactly why the eKids 24 is built the way it is. It is the largest of the three eKids sizes, so it fits the widest range of riders and offers the most room to grow — a child who fits it at 8 or 9 can still be riding it years later. If you are going to buy one electric bike that lasts, this is the size that lasts longest.
It is also the most thoughtfully equipped. The smaller eKids 16 uses a rear band brake; the eKids 20 has dual disc brakes but a rigid die-cast fork. The eKids 24 is the only one with both dual 160mm disc brakes AND a real 50mm suspension fork — the combination that makes a ride over a curb, a gravel patch, or a rooty park path comfortable and controlled instead of jarring. Bigger wheels roll over bumps more smoothly too. For the rider who is past their first bike and ready for something that feels like a proper bike, the 24 is the obvious step up.
And it is built around the right priorities for a child’s machine: a conservative 25 km/h top speed, a parent-set speed cap so you decide how fast it goes today, a throttle that refuses to launch from a dead stop, and motor-cutoff brakes that kill power the moment a lever is squeezed. Power that a parent can dial in. Brakes that always win. That is the design brief for a kid’s e-bike, and the eKids 24 follows it.
The takeaway: the eKids 24 is the largest, most comfortable, longest-lasting eKids — the only one with suspension and disc brakes, capped at a sensible 25 km/h with a parent-controlled speed selector. Buy it when your child is 8+ and likely to keep growing into it.
Key Features
- 24V 250W Rear Hub Motor — Right-sized power for a child. Enough to take the work out of hills and headwinds and keep up on a family ride, without the intimidating launch of a high-torque adult motor. 250W nominal also keeps the eKids 24 within Canada’s federal Power-Assisted Bicycle power limit.
- Parent-Set Three-Level Speed Cap — 7.5 / 11 / 15.5 mph — The single most useful safety feature on a kid’s e-bike. You decide the maximum speed from the handlebar selector. Start a new or younger rider at 7.5 mph (12 km/h), move to 11 mph as they gain control, and unlock the full 15.5 mph (25 km/h) only when they have earned it. The bike grows with the rider’s skill, not just their height.
- Soft-Start Half-Twist Throttle — The throttle does nothing until the bike is already rolling at 3 km/h. No jackrabbit launch, no front wheel lifting, no surprise lurch from a standstill. A child has to be pedalling or coasting before the motor will help — exactly how a first powered bike should behave.
- Dual 160mm Disc Brakes with Motor Cutoff — Disc brakes front and rear — far more confident and weather-resistant stopping than the rim or band brakes on many kids’ bikes. The motor-cutoff levers kill the motor the instant either brake is squeezed, so the bike can never fight the brakes. Stopping power always wins.
- 50mm Front Suspension Fork — The only eKids size with a real suspension fork. It soaks up curbs, cracked pavement, gravel, and park-path bumps, so the ride is smoother and the rider stays in control over rough ground. Comfort keeps kids riding longer.
- 24″ × 1.95″ Integral Wheels with Reflectors — Bigger 24-inch wheels roll over bumps more smoothly and feel more like a grown-up bike than smaller kids’ wheels. The 1.95″ width is an easy-rolling all-round tire for pavement, packed paths, and light gravel. Reflectors front and rear for visibility.
- 24V 10Ah Battery (240 Wh) in a Custom Eunorau Case — Rated for up to 20 miles (32 km) — more than most kids ride in a session. Housed in a purpose-designed Eunorau case integrated into the frame. Charges in about 4–5 hours on the included 2.0A smart charger.
- Aluminium Alloy 6061 Frame — One Size — Light, strong, and rust-proof — it shrugs off the road salt and damp that destroy steel-framed bikes left in a Canadian garage. One frame size, sized to fit riders 3’5″–5’5″.
- Simple Single-Speed Drivetrain — 32T chainring, 16T freewheel, 140mm forged crank. No gears to shift, nothing to adjust, nothing for a kid to get wrong. The motor handles the hills; the child just rides. Simple is the right answer for a young rider.
- 44.1 lbs, 200 lb Payload — Light enough for a young rider to manage and for a parent to lift onto a rack, with a 200 lb payload that carries a growing kid plus a backpack.
- Kickstand Included — A small thing that matters — somewhere to park the bike that isn’t the lawn.
- Two Colours — Cloud White & Obsidian — A clean light finish or a stealthy dark one. Both are kid-approved.

Warranty
The Eunorau eKids 24 is covered by Eunorau’s 24-month limited manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects, with extended frame coverage:
- Frame: 10 years
- Battery: 24 months
- Motor: 24 months
- Electrical components (controller, wiring, throttle): 24 months
The warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover normal wear items — brake pads, rotors, tires, tubes, chains, cables, or grips — or damage from accidents, misuse, improper assembly, improper storage, or corrosion. Coverage is for the original purchaser with proof of purchase, and product registration with Eunorau right after purchase is required to process a claim. Full terms: Eunorau warranty policy →
What You Should Know Before Buying (Honest Take)
- Fit age and legal riding age are not the same number. Eunorau sizes this bike for 8+. Canadian provinces set a minimum age of 12 (Alberta) to 16 (Ontario, BC) to ride a power-assisted bicycle on public roads and paths. For a younger rider, this is a private-property, driveway, backyard, and supervised-path bike — not a road or bike-lane bike. We would rather tell you that up front than have you find out from a bylaw officer. Provincial eBike laws →
- A helmet is mandatory, and it is on you to enforce it. Riders under 18 must wear a certified bicycle helmet in most provinces, and frankly every rider should. An e-bike is faster than a pedal bike; the helmet matters more, not less. Budget for a properly fitted kids’ helmet with the bike.
- It is capped at 25 km/h — and the smaller eKids 20 actually goes faster. If you are cross-shopping the family, note that the eKids 24 tops out at 15.5 mph (25 km/h) while the eKids 20 reaches 20 mph (32 km/h). That is a deliberately conservative cap on the bigger bike. For most parents that is a feature, not a flaw — but if you specifically want the faster bike for an older, experienced rider, the 20 is quicker.
- Single-speed, so very steep hills are a pedal-and-motor effort. There are no gears. On flat ground and gentle hills the 250W motor does the work beautifully. On a long, steep climb your child will need to pedal along with the motor. For most neighbourhoods and paths this is a non-issue; for genuinely mountainous terrain, manage expectations.
- No display screen. The eKids 24 keeps it simple with a battery-level indicator rather than a full LCD computer. For a kid’s bike that is arguably the right call — fewer things to break or fiddle with — but if you expected a screen with speed and odometer, it isn’t here.
- It is still 44 lbs. Light for an e-bike, but heavier than a regular kids’ bike. A small child may need help lifting it over a curb or onto a rack. Plan for ground-level storage where possible.
- Use the charger it comes with. Charge on a hard surface, unplug when full, and never substitute a random charger. Aftermarket chargers and batteries are the leading cause of e-bike battery fires per Toronto Fire Services — the rule applies even to a small 24V pack.
- Supervise the early rides. Start on the 7.5 mph setting, on private property or a quiet space, until your child has the throttle and brakes wired into muscle memory. Then step the speed up. The bike is designed to be eased into — use that design.
Will It Fit Your Child? — Sizing the eKids Family
The eKids 24 is a one-size bike built for riders 3’5″–5’5″ (104–165 cm), with a manufacturer fit guideline of ages 8 and up. Match the wheel size to your child’s height — the bigger the wheel, the taller the rider it suits and the more room to grow.
| Model | Wheel | Rider Height | Weight | Max Payload | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| eKids 16 | 16″ | 2’8″–4’5″ | 28.6 lbs | 120 lbs | Youngest / smallest riders, first powered bike |
| eKids 20 | 20″ | 3’5″–5’0″ | 37.4 lbs | 200 lbs | Middle size; faster (20 mph) for confident riders |
| eKids 24 | 24″ | 3’5″–5’5″ | 44.1 lbs | 200 lbs | Biggest; most comfort + longest growth runway |
Rider Fit Notes
- Child in the 3’5″–4’5″ overlap: all three sizes can fit. Choose the eKids 16 or 20 for a smaller, lighter, more manageable bike now, or the eKids 24 if you want the longest growth runway and the suspension-fork comfort.
- Child 4’6″–5’0″: the eKids 24 is the sweet spot — room to grow, biggest wheels, smoothest ride. The 20 also fits if you want the faster top speed.
- Child 5’0″–5’5″: the eKids 24 is the right size; the smaller models will be cramped.
- Rider taller than 5’5″ or heavier than 200 lbs: they have outgrown the eKids line — look at a small-frame adult e-bike instead. Call us at 1-866-938-7580 and we’ll point you to the right fit, or see our e-bikes for teens guide →

Who Is the Eunorau eKids 24 For?
- Families buying for a child who has outgrown a first bike. The eKids 24 is the biggest, most capable eKids — the right step up for a rider ready for 24″ wheels, suspension, and disc brakes. Buy once, ride for years.
- Parents who want to control how fast their kid goes. The three-level speed cap (7.5 / 11 / 15.5 mph) lets you set the maximum and raise it as your child’s skill grows. Power that a parent dials in.
- Kids who ride on private property, quiet paths, and supervised spaces. Acreage, cottage roads, campgrounds, large yards, and paths where local rules allow a supervised young rider — this is the eKids 24’s natural home, especially for riders under their province’s minimum road age.
- Riders 3’5″–5’5″ who want the smoothest ride. The only eKids with a suspension fork plus disc brakes — the most comfortable and confident bike in the family over curbs, gravel, and bumps.
- Families who keep bikes in a Canadian garage. The aluminium 6061 frame won’t rust through winter storage, and the battery comes off for indoor charging.
Who it’s NOT for:
- An 8-year-old who needs to ride on public roads or bike lanes. Provincial minimum riding ages (12–16) apply on public roads and paths. Under that age, keep it to private property and supervised spaces. Provincial eBike laws →
- The smallest, youngest riders. If your child is under about 4’0″, the eKids 16 → is the better, more manageable fit.
- An older, experienced rider who wants more speed. The 24 is capped at 25 km/h; the eKids 20 → reaches 32 km/h.
- Teens taller than 5’5″ or over 200 lbs. They’ve outgrown the eKids line — see our e-bikes for teens guide → for a small-frame adult option.
How the eKids 24 Compares Inside the eKids Family
The eKids 24, 20, and 16 share the same motor and battery — the difference is size, stopping power, comfort, and top speed. Match the bike to your child’s height and the kind of riding they’ll do.

Frequently Asked Questions
What age is the eKids 24 for, and can my 8-year-old legally ride it?
Two different questions. Fit: Eunorau sizes the eKids 24 for riders roughly 3’5″–5’5″, with a guideline of ages 8 and up — that’s about leg length, reach, and managing the bike. Law: the eKids 24 meets Canada’s federal Power-Assisted Bicycle definition (under 500W, assist capped at 25 km/h, working pedals), but every province sets a minimum age to ride a power-assisted bicycle on public roads and paths, and it’s older than 8 everywhere — Alberta 12, Ontario and BC 16, most others 14–16. Because it has a throttle, it doesn’t qualify for BC’s lower 14+ “Light E-Bike” class. For a younger rider, the eKids 24 is a private-property, supervised-riding bike. Provincial eBike laws →
How fast does the eKids 24 go?
Top speed is 15.5 mph (25 km/h), but a parent can cap it lower using the three-level handlebar selector: 7.5, 11, or 15.5 mph. Start a new rider at 7.5 and step up as their skill grows. The half-twist throttle won’t engage until the bike is already moving at 3 km/h, so there’s no lurch from a standstill. (Worth knowing: the smaller eKids 20 actually reaches 20 mph — the 24 is capped more conservatively.)
What’s the real range?
Rated up to 20 miles (32 km) on the 24V 10Ah battery. Real-world range for a child is typically 18–30 km depending on weight, speed setting, how much they pedal, and terrain — more than most kids ride in one outing. A full charge takes about 4–5 hours.
Is the eKids 24 safe for kids?
It’s built safety-first: dual 160mm disc brakes, a soft-start throttle that won’t launch from a stop, a parent-set speed cap, motor-cutoff brake levers, and a 50mm suspension fork for control over bumps. But hardware is only half of it — a certified helmet is mandatory (and legally required under 18 in most provinces), gloves and closed shoes are strongly recommended, and younger or newer riders should be supervised and start on the lowest speed setting on private property.
How is it different from the eKids 16 and 20?
Same 250W motor and 240 Wh battery across all three. The eKids 24 is the biggest (24″ wheels, fits up to 5’5″), the only one with a suspension fork AND disc brakes, and is capped at a conservative 25 km/h. The eKids 20 is mid-size and faster (32 km/h) with disc brakes; the eKids 16 is the smallest and lightest with a band brake, for the youngest riders. See the comparison table above.
Does my child need a licence or insurance?
In most provinces, no licence is required for a Power-Assisted Bicycle. The exception is Quebec, where riders 14–17 need a moped/scooter (Class 6D) licence. Insurance generally isn’t legally required, though some families add coverage via a home/tenant policy or a cycling-club membership. The real gate is age — check your province’s minimum riding age first.
Is the battery removable and how long does it charge?
The 24V 10Ah battery sits in a custom Eunorau case integrated into the frame and charges in about 4–5 hours on the included 2.0A smart charger. Always use the supplied charger, charge on a hard surface, and unplug when full — aftermarket chargers and batteries are the leading cause of e-bike battery fires per Toronto Fire Services.
What gear should my child wear on the eKids 24?
A certified bicycle helmet every single ride, no exceptions — it’s legally required for riders under 18 in most provinces and is the most important purchase you’ll make alongside the bike. Add cycling gloves to protect hands in a fall, and proper closed-toe shoes (never sandals — feet need to grip the pedals and stay clear of the wheels). For new riders, knee and elbow pads build confidence and prevent the scrapes that put kids off riding. Bright clothing helps drivers and other path users see a small rider, and supervision is part of the gear list for younger and newer riders.
Which eKids size should I buy for my child’s height?
Match the wheel to the rider. eKids 16 (16″) fits about 2’8″–4’5″; eKids 20 (20″) fits about 3’5″–5’0″; eKids 24 (24″) fits about 3’5″–5’5″ with the most room to grow. In the overlap, choose a smaller, lighter bike for now or the eKids 24 for the longest growth runway and the only suspension fork in the family. See the comparison table above.
